Concerned about Rika's well-being, Daniel approached her as they closed up for the day and asked, "So, about that person earlier, did you know him, or was he just being overly familiar?"

Thankfully, Rocxx had kept his word, and the new, more secure door had been installed within two hours of his departure.

"If I tell you that I have no recollection of that alpha, but he seemed convinced that we are childhood friends, what would you do?"

Rika, trying to lighten the situation, asked back, finally feeling lightheaded enough to joke around.
