When the other groups reconvened in the field, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. It seemed the other two groups had been truly tormented. Dark circles under their eyes and exhausted expressions were evident on their faces, as if the previous night had been an endless nightmare.
"Major Hawk, it looks like you were a bit hard on them," I said, turning to face Major Hawk, who stood behind me observing the gathering cadets.
Major Hawk, with his sharp gaze and serious expression, replied, "What I did yesterday was in accordance with military standards. In fact, I'm surprised Mark's group doesn't look tired at all."
I restrained myself from laughing at the statement. "Oh, they don't look tired to you!?" I shouted in my mind. Apparently, my training methods, which might have been slightly more lenient compared to Major Hawk's, were not considered tough enough.
