The "zombies" from the Otherworld were terrifying in form, with veins bulging from their skin like earthworms, and a pitch-black viscous substance oozing from their facial features.

But they were anything but slow-moving targets.

Zombies leapt like agile baboons, possessing a formidable jumping ability that allowed them to vault into trenches from 10 meters away.

For a time, the trenches became a scene straight out of "Resident Evil."

Zombies were getting blasted to pieces, brains bursting apart, but there were simply too many of them. The army was overwhelmed by the tidal wave of monsters without warning, and countless soldiers were torn apart and devoured alive.

Watching the creatures flood into the trenches like a tide, Private Smith knew he was never going home.

He pulled the pin on a "Mills" grenade, grateful that it exploded before he could be dismembered.
