However, at this point, someone else spoke up, "Lawyer Tang, you keep saying that the company should compensate for the items and characters. Isn't that a bit unfair? Why should the company bear these costs?"
Old Tang looked over; the speaker was a middle-aged man.
"Unfair? What about the gaming company deciding to shut down servers at will? Isn't that unfair to the players? The courts have already recognized these things as virtual property. Since they're deemed property, your server shutdown constitutes an infringement."
If there's infringement, then compensation is due, the question is only how much.
