Bab 103: Chapter 0103: Lady Gao

Ye Zao had waited three days before visiting Lady Geng.

After all, her status was low, and rushing over at the beginning would have made her subject to accusations of currying favor.

Lady Geng was resting inside when Ye Zao arrived, and she saw Princess Gao cooling off under a tree in the courtyard. Upon spotting her, Princess Gao exclaimed with an 'aiyo': "Isn't this the most favored Miss Ye? What brings her here? Could it be? Now that Princess Geng is pregnant, even the most favored Miss Ye has come to pay her respects?"

"Princess Gao, may you be auspicious," Ye Zao responded indifferently.

"What kind of manners are these?" Princess Gao glared.

"What? Does the princess expect servants to kneel?" Ye Zao glared back.

Her eyes were naturally fox-like, and with that glare, her eyebrows arched in a challenging manner, exuding a sense of bewitching ferocity.

Even though she was young and lacked the imposing aura, it was enough to cause Princess Gao to hesitate.
