Bab 248: A walk with Chloe

After class, the afternoon was wide open, the sun dipping low in the sky but still warm enough to make the idea of staying inside unbearable. Chloe, always the spontaneous one, nudged me as we left the school building.

"Hey, you want to go for a walk?" she asked, her eyes bright with excitement. "We could get some ice cream or something. It's too nice out to just go home."

I hesitated for a moment, still feeling the weight of the day and the lingering thoughts of Carmen's absence, but Chloe's enthusiasm was infectious. The idea of spending some carefree time with her, away from the stress of modeling school and everything else, sounded like exactly what I needed.

"Sure, why not?" I agreed, smiling at her. "Ice cream sounds perfect."
