Bab 30: Getting ready for the dinner

I had just hit send on my response to Carmen's invitation for dinner when the realization struck me—I needed to get ready. With a mixture of excitement and nerves, I dashed to my bedroom. I had only a few hours to prepare, and I wanted to make sure I looked stunning.

I stood in front of my closet, staring at the array of clothes and feeling overwhelmed. "What am I going to wear?" I muttered to myself, flipping through hangers. I needed something that struck the perfect balance between elegant and sexy.

After a few minutes of indecision, I pulled out a deep burgundy dress. It was a knee-length number with a fitted bodice and a slightly flared skirt. The neckline was modest but flattering, and the color complemented my skin tone perfectly. I held it up and examined it critically.

"Is this too much?" I wondered aloud. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. It was classy yet alluring, exactly what I needed for tonight.
