Bab 37: Reinforcing the Defenses

I couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and sorrow. These brave souls had fought with everything they had to protect our home, and now it was our duty to ensure their sacrifices were not in vain.

Lilith joined me, her hands stained with blood as she assisted the healers. "We need to send scouts to make sure the enemy is truly gone," she said, her voice tired but determined.

I nodded. "You're right. We can't afford to be caught off guard again."

While the healers worked, I sent out a group of scouts to patrol the surrounding area and ensure that no enemy forces were lying in wait. Baelgor and I then turned our attention to the village's defenses. The northern wall, where the enemy had breached, was a priority.
