"Good stuff!" Haotian exclaimed with admiration. The warehouse blueprint had arrived at the perfect time. Now, he wouldn't need to assign Royal Knights to the salt lake for salt collection. All the Royal Knights could focus on hunting instead. The salt they collected in the future could be sold directly to the sand people or passing human caravans.
As for the livestock farm blueprint, it was the perfect addition. He had been worrying about where to house the hundreds of desert coyotes. They could stay in the livestock farm at night and accompany the Royal Knights on hunts during the day. If any of them died, their bodies could be brought back and skinned. These were just low-level magical beasts with little potential for training. Even if some coyotes became mounts for the Royal Knights, it would only be temporary. Once better mounts were available, they would be replaced immediately.
Haotian found a suitable open space on the other side of Sapphire Lake and built the livestock farm, herding the hundreds of desert coyotes into it.
Livestock Farm
Level: Low
Building Information: You can raise various livestock here, including mounts and magical beasts.
Building Effects: Livestock breeding capacity is tripled, growth cycles are proportionately shortened, and there is a very low chance of bloodline evolution.
Next Level: Intermediate Livestock Farm
Upgrade Requirements: 3,000 units of wood
Special Note: Upgrading the farm increases the probability of bloodline evolution.
"They can evolve?" Haotian was astonished. He wondered what the desert coyotes could evolve into.
He noticed that after entering the livestock farm, the coyotes quickly calmed down and visibly became more docile. Previously, they had been subdued by the Royal Knights through physical force, always retaining a hint of ferocity in their eyes. Now, they were as tame as household pets. When Haotian approached, they didn't whimper or retreat; instead, they ran up to him, affectionately rubbing their heads against his pants.
"This is amazing!" he thought.
Back at the Village Hall, Haotian summoned the Royal Knights and assigned tasks. The main force, accompanied by the desert coyote army, was to return to the Blackwind Tribe and transport the remaining supplies. A smaller group was sent to the nearby stone mountain to mine some stone before it got too late. They needed at least 100 units of stone to build the warehouse.
The Royal Knights set off again quickly, with the desert coyotes pouring out of the livestock farm, now much more obedient. They almost reached a level of disciplined responsiveness.
Haotian checked his gold reserves, now nearly 4,800 coins, enough to upgrade the Royal Knight Training Grounds to level 3. Without hesitation, he spent 3,000 coins to upgrade the facility.
Royal Knight Training Grounds
Level: 3
Recruitable Units: Royal Knights
Recruitment Rate: 50 Royal Knights per day
Upgrade Requirements: 5,000 gold coins
Special Note 1: Upgrading the facility increases the number of units you can recruit.
Special Note 2: Equipping Royal Knights with suitable mounts can significantly enhance their combat power.
"At midnight, I can recruit fifty more Royal Knights!" Haotian said, glancing at the territory's resource reserves.
Wood: 2,735 units
Stone: 28 units
Food: 58,640 units
The surge in food resources came from the spoils of the Blackwind Tribe. Once the Royal Knights brought back the remaining supplies, the food reserves would increase even more, considering the thousand-plus desert coyote carcasses still there.
Haotian, along with the maid Sally and the gnoll Agou, began sorting the equipment, wolf pelts, and teeth by grade. The old butler Horden mentioned that Agou had performed exceptionally well in the Blackwind Tribe assault, acting as a guide and even opening the tribe's gates, allowing the Royal Knights to easily overrun the place. For his contributions, Haotian freed Agou from his prisoner status, making him the first non-human resident of the territory.
"Praise be to you, great Divine Envoy!" Agou had taken to calling Haotian this, now fully embracing his role as Haotian's loyal follower. He did whatever Haotian asked without complaint, even taking initiative when not explicitly instructed.
As night deepened, Haotian and his companions finished organizing the supplies. Soon after, the team sent to the stone mountain returned with over 200 units of stone, enough to meet the warehouse's construction requirements.
With the blueprint in hand, Haotian watched as the blueprint vanished, and a yurt-like structure appeared near the Village Hall.
Warehouse
Level: Low
Storage Capacity: 1 million units
Next Level: Intermediate Warehouse
Upgrade Requirements: 3,000 units of wood, 1,000 units of stone
Haotian walked into the warehouse, his vision opening up to an expansive storage space, larger than the training grounds. "No wonder it can hold a million units of supplies. It's a hidden dimension!" he marveled. From the outside, it was impossible to tell.
Haotian stored all the territory's supplies in the warehouse, including the thousands of pounds of red dragon fruit in his space bag. The warehouse's storage and retrieval were straightforward; as the lord, Haotian could manage it with a thought.
"Now that we have a warehouse, there's no need to worry about food spoiling," he thought, feeling a surge of relief and happiness. The only downside was the steep upgrade requirements. Upgrading to an Intermediate Warehouse required 3,000 units of wood and 1,000 units of stone, a tenfold increase from the initial construction costs. The livestock farm had similar requirements—5,000 units of wood to upgrade to intermediate level. And the Lucky Altar's upgrade was even more daunting, needing 10,000 gold coins and 5,000 units of stone.
"Everything requires resources, and the manpower in the territory is insufficient," Haotian mused.
Just then, Agou appeared, grinning obsequiously. "Great Divine Envoy, if the territory lacks manpower, you can hire the sand people! The Blackwind Tribe had three sand people settlements with over 2,000 sand people. Now that you've destroyed the Blackwind Tribe, I believe they would be very willing to serve you."
Haotian's eyes lit up. He patted Agou's head appreciatively, "Agou, you have a talent for being a good lackey. Keep up the good work!"
"Praise be to the great Divine Envoy!" Agou was so moved, he nearly shed tears.
