Bab 209: Primordial Helix's True Origin(1)

The stern-looking lady was naturally Li Luo, and as soon as she took one look at Kong Mei who looked so much like herself, her visage softened abruptly. She quickly turned to Kong Xiang beside her, her eyes filled with an unspoken question.

"Yes," Kong Xiang nodded with a proud smile on his face, "Li Luo, meet your daughter, Kong Mei."

Kong Mei's expression stiffened when she heard Kong Xiang's words. Involuntarily, visuals of the infinite soap opera dramas she had watched with similar scenes played in her mind.

Even when Li Luo stepped forward and shakily made to hug her while sobbing, Kong Mei felt she was observing the scene outside her own body.

Li Luo withdrew awkwardly from the hug when she noticed that Kong Mei was a bit stiff. Her usually stern face was displaying a lot of emotions right now; worry, care, affection, guilt and self-reproach.
