Hubert walked along the corridor, coming fresh from the council room, from the meeting that took care of the fate of the watchmen. Beside him, the newly appointed lord of Storsea, Cassian, was walking at a moderately the same speed, seeing him out.

"So, you are going to journey back to the academy today?" said Cassian as they walked, the golden sun shimmering around them.

"Yes," Hubert answered.

"There's still another two months until the mandatory return date for any students. Why don't you stay here for a bit and reconsider my father's offer?" Cassian pointed, they were now halfway to the exit, right in front of the door that led to the courtroom.

"I'm more satisfied with what we've discussed," Hubert rejected and stopped his steps after a few moments. He turned to Cassian and with a smug look, he asked for Cassian's honesty, "I expect that the watchmen are well taken care of, as per our discussion?"
