Bab 37: ZEUS

Beta Oberion's silver wolf arrived only a few minutes after the two women had left. He saw the slain guards littered all over the place, with some of their organs torn off.

By the take of the fight it looked like whoever did it attacked in their human form, but there was no scent to trace.

Some of the guards were beginning to converge over something of interest. He could see the fear in their eyes and some even began to throw up all the contents of their stomach.

"Beta. Come see this"

His attention was called to a spot behind a tree and he immediately went over only to be repulsed by what he saw. He now understood the reason for their reaction, for no normal wolf would see it and not cry out to the goddess.

Some unwanted creatures had slithered into the exalted realm of Razhal. Creatures that should never have any reason to be seen around.
