The Devil and The Dragon
The room was dominated by silence as we both continued to stare each other down.
My eyes never left the figure, just as its eyes never left mine. Meanwhile, I was trying to discern the figure that was sitting on the throne, but whenever I tried to with my night vision or Observation haki; the figure was still enshrouded with black. Making it impossible for me to tell who exactly this person was.
After a couple more seconds of silence, the figure sitting on the throne opened its mouth for the first time.
"They have failed....strange,"
I looked on curiously to what else the figure had to say for itself. Judging from its raspy voice, I felt that the figure was male; but knowing One Piece, I could never be too sure.
The figure didn't say anything else, but instead got up from its seat and slowly made his way down the steps. He ignored the various weapons that were buried in front of him, and kept making his way towards me. However, my senses were screaming at me to get away from him.
Well, those were my sixth senses. My animalistic senses were telling me otherwise, matter of fact, I felt Ghidorah thrashing about within my sea of conciousness. It was as if he was ready to die fighting him. I still couldn't see why I was feeling this way, that was until he started to transform.
His figure started to distort as he slowly grew in size. It was essential to note that during this entire ordeal, I still hadn't managed to get a proper view of the figure. His eyes, slowly started to glow blood red as he used his hind legs to tower over me.
His teeth were sharp, and his bloodlust made itself visible to me. I couldn't help but grow into my animal form as well, Ghidorah's instincts were simply telling me that this was a fight for dominace over this battle.
My wings slowly grew as two extra heads made themselves visible on my shoulders. My central head continued to look at the Devilish figure in front of me as my other two heads reared themselves towards the ceiling and let out the all too familiar roar. Lightning immediately burst out of my scaly body and almost pushed the devil like being back.
Unfortunately, the Devil didn't seem to be moving an inch from my sudden out burst. Instead, it raised a long appendage with an arrow shaped tip, and tried to impale right through me. The appendage immediately stabbed me right through the abdomen. However, I remained unfazed as all three of my heads immediately charged an energy blast at him.
However, what he did next immediately made my blood freeze. This monster not only tanked the attack at point blank range, but also ate the attack as well. I could literally see this monster's mouth open as he devoured my lightning like it was dinner.
My two heads immediately lunged at the Devil's limbs, each head went after a forelimb that he had been using to catch the lightning and eat it. They both caught the two limbs, and as I was willing them to lift the animal from the ground. I felt something ominous emmiting from the Devil-like beast. I couldn't tell what it exactly was, but I knew that this raised major red flags on my radar.
I immediately threw the figure towards a wall as I took a couple of steps back with my two hind feet. My two spare heads were already charging up another nasty energy blast for him, however, I didn't know whether or not it would work. He had already eaten the first one, there was no telling whether he could've eaten the second one.
Unfortunately, my doubts would come to fruition as I sent another energy blast his way.
The Devil immediately ate the attack again, but this time, instead of crawling slowly my way. It immediately lunged at me with its big body. The Devil speared me right in the gut, and I lost balance as I fell to the ground with it. The Devil didn't stop there unfortunately, it opened its large mouth before taking a nice chunky bite out of my left head.
It devoured the head in its entirety and even went in a bit within the shoulder area. My brain was immediately consumed with pain as my two remaining heads bit back in response. I tried to rip out a piece of flesh out of him, but the skin of it felt weird. As if it was there, but not there at the same time.
Seeing the futility in this attempt, I wasted no time kicking the devil away from him with one of my claws. I was never good at fighting in my animal stage anyway, so I immediately changed back to my normal form. However, something else came up the moment I turned back into a human.
The area that the devil bit on was still evident in my human form. It took the form of a grave bite wound on my left shoulder; it was almost as if the thing had bit the entire shoulder off, but that wasn't all, the bite marks had black aura eminating from them dying the blood coming out of it become black. More importantly: They weren't letting me activate my regenerative factor, meaning that I couldn't heal until I got rid of it.
I winced as I grabbed my axe to prepare for the oncoming devil. I could handle the pain on my left shoulder for now, but I needed to address it pretty soon before the wound could get even more infected. So for now, my left arm was going to be useless for the most part, I could only rely on my right arm to fight that thing off.
I twirled my axe before lunging at the devil. I could not afford to hold back, or any other mistake from there on out. I immediately coated the axe with lightning, Advanced Armament haki, Infused Conqurer's haki and Ryuo as I sent a devastating Endens Lyn his way.
Luckily, the attack seemed to have done some sort of damage to him. However, it didn't seem to have fazed him. I kept sending more and more attacks at him, the attacks were beginnig to add up. However, the damage in question wasn't as deadly as I had expected it to be. He kept on trying to eat me whole.
His mouth had always been ajar as he kept waiting for an oppurtunity to take another bite out of me. Moreover, every once in a while, he would swing his arms to try and swat me in the air. It didn't work for the most part, but during the rare cases that he did, I would lose a lot of blood and skin.
Matter of fact, my body was currently in tatters. Its as if the corruption that he used when he bit me was also coated on his claws as well. I was not in a good condition, and the more that we had fought, the more this thing was slowly becoming faster and faster.
In fact, he even started to adapt to my attacks. He knew the pacing of how I moved and when exactly to stun me mid-attack. It was as if he was toying with me, seeing what did and didn't make me tick, and frankly I wasn't a fan of this at all.
My emotions were slowly showing more and more as we kept fighting. My attacks weren't dealing any significant damage on him. It was as if I was a fly trying to bring down a goddamn elephant.
All of this immediately stopped mattering the moment his rear appendage pierced me right in the chest. This time, unlike the past, the attack immediately went right through the heart.
The funny part was I had seen it coming, My Observation haki had been working overtime since we began fighting. However, the wounds that the Devil had given me were slowly beginning to take their toll on me. It also didn't help that even when I coated myself with Advanced Armament haki, those attacks still went right through me like a hot knife through butter.
The appendage immediately pinned me through the wall. The force of the attack was so much that I was essentially pinned right there. I could do nothing but watch as the devil-like figure slowly turn back to its mysterious form and return to its seat. His eyes remained on my figure as I slowly felt my self losing strenght.
"What.....the fuck?"
Those were my last words.
