A blast of necro energy shot out of its eyes hitting Ryan's chest, but he just stood there as his body absorbed it with ease, "You bastard, using necro energy against me? Hahahaha! HOW HILARIOUS!!"
He laughed maniacally as the necro energy coursed through his body. He could feel the power surging within him, a dark, chaotic force that he welcomed with open arms. The cat, still glaring at him with its three eyes, seemed to hesitate for a moment, almost as if it understood the futility of its attack.
"Is that all you've got?" Ryan taunted, taking a step forward. "You're just a failed experiment, a pathetic attempt at creating life. But don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery."
He raised his wand and pointed it directly at the cat. "Absorbo Vitalis!"
A dark, swirling vortex of energy erupted from his wand, engulfing the cat. The creature let out a final, pitiful hiss before its form began to wither and shrink. The black smoke that had once surrounded it was now being sucked into Ryan, feeding his already immense power.
The cat's eyes dimmed and its body collapsed into a lifeless husk on the cold, stone floor. Ryan felt a rush of exhilaration as the last remnants of the creature's energy merged with his own, 'Humm... That was some low-grade energy, but enough to replenish my exhaustion from all these walking.'
He turned to face the others, who were still frozen in place, their expressions a mix of awe and fear. The energy that was holding them hostage seemed to dissipate the moment Ryan killed the cat. Lupin, Alice, and Edgar stumbled forward, gasping for air as their bodies returned to normalcy.
"See? Nothing to worry about," Ryan said, his voice dripping with confidence. "Now, let's move forward."
He approached the giant door, the glowing runes casting an eerie light on his face. He placed his hand on the cool metal surface, feeling the ancient magic that lay dormant beneath, "Hmm... This door is sealed with a powerful locking curse. Anyone who tries to enter without authorization will suffer unimaginable consequences. Who the fuck cares about that?"
"Bombarda!" Ryan's spell shattered the giant door, sending splinters of wood and shards of metal flying. As the dust settled, the group peered into the darkness beyond, their wand lights casting eerie shadows on the ancient stone walls.
They cautiously entered the chamber, Ryan leading the way with Bellatrix close behind. Alice, Lupin, Edgar, and the Aurors followed suit. They were excited and afraid at the same time because this was supposed to be the most hidden and forbidden area and who knows what kind of hideous secrets are hiding in there? As they ventured deeper into the chamber, they came upon a big, circular room filled with rows upon rows of shelves. Each shelf held hundreds of mysterious objects, each pulsating with magical energy. There seems to be no end to that place as far as eyes goes.
Ryan's eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. He had only seen this in movies in his past life, but seeing it with his own eyes was a different experience altogether. He took a deep breath, savoring the scent of knowledge that lingered in the air. The others were also awed by the majesty of this chamber, each of them eager to explore and discover the secrets hidden within.
Ryan smiled widely as he whispered, "Welcome to the Department of Mysteries."
The group for a moment forgot about the situation above and spread out, their wand lights cutting through the darkness, casting long shadows that danced across the ancient stone walls. The air was thick with the scent of dust and old parchment, proof of the centuries of secrets hidden within this chamber.
Alice approached a shelf filled with glass spheres, each one glowing with an ethereal light. "Prophecies," she muttered, her fingers lightly tracing the surface of one. "These are the records of future events. Some of them are incredibly powerful." She picked up one sphere and cradled it gently in her hands.
Ryan walked over to join her, curious to see what prophecy she had chosen. As he peered into the orb, he saw flashes of images, voices whispering in his ear. "Death... Pain... Loss... Despair," they hissed, filling his mind with dark thoughts. He jerked back, dropping the prophecy on the ground where it shattered into pieces, releasing a shower of sparks.
Alice gasped as she watched the fragments scatter across the floor, her expression one of sorrow. "No! Why would you do that?! Prophecies are sacred!"
"Sacred my a... Ahem! There are many prophecies floating around in this world. One broken prophecy doesn't matter much," Ryan shrugged indifferently as he moved on to the next shelf.
Alice frowned but decided to ignore him and focus on the mysteries before her.
Edgar and Lupin moved towards another section, where books and scrolls were piled high. The ceiling wasn't visible at all.
"This must be the knowledge section," Edgar said, picking up a dusty tome. "Spells, enchantments, history... everything the Ministry has ever discovered about magic."
Lupin glanced at a nearby shelf, his eyes widening, "Look at this. Research on magical creatures. They have detailed studies on everything from werewolves to dragons." His face twitched as a flicker of rage appeared on his face as he read through the section of werewolf experiments.
Ryan's attention was drawn to a dark corner of the room, where a large, ornate door stood slightly ajar. The runes on its surface were unfamiliar, their glow a deep, unsettling red. "What's in there?" he wondered aloud.
Bellatrix, sensing his curiosity, moved to stand beside him.
That door leads to the more... controversial studies. Forbidden magic, dark arts, necromancy. Things the Ministry would rather keep hidden.
His eyes gleamed with excitement, "C'mon, let's take a look."
As they approached the door, it swung open with a creak, revealing a narrow passageway that led downwards. The air grew colder as they descended, the walls closing in around them. At the end of the passage, they found themselves in a small, dimly lit chamber.
The room was filled with stench of blood and torture equipment. There were piles of dead bodies lying in the corner of the room, preserved with magic to prevent rot and smell. There were tables full of torture instruments like knives, scalpels, pliers, needles, etc. Then they came across a needle bed on which a skeleton was strapped down, its bones stained with blood. On the wall hung several human hearts, still beating. The sight was truly horrifying.
Bellatrix shuddered as she looked around. Even someone as cruel and lunatic as her found this place disturbing. Ryan however, seemed unfazed. He walked over to one of the hearts hanging on the wall and reached out to touch it. It pulsed under his fingertips, warm and wet.
"HAA! And they call us evil," Bellatrix chuckled sinisterly while Ryan examined the heart. "These Ministry fools tortured people to death just to satisfy their sick curiosity. How hypocritical!"
Ryan ignored Bellatrix and continued exploring the chamber. He noticed a large cage in one corner of the room, filled with strange creatures. They snarled and hissed as he approached, baring their fangs.
"Ahhh...More of those failed experiments. Bellatrix, should we just burn down this entire Ministry to the ground or..." He said as he looked toward her with a sly smile, "...Or, should we expose everything to the world and see the chaos unfold? I wonder, what kind of face Dumbledore and those remaining high-level ministry people will make when the truth comes out? Hahaha!"
Bellatrix laughed along with Ryan as they imagined the chaos that would ensue if such information came out to the public. People would lose trust in the Ministry, riots would break out, and society itself might collapse. The mere thought of it sent shivers down their spines.
"Tehehehehe!" She giggled madly. "Both options sound good to me master. Let's place some explosive curses around this place and take whatever we want from here. Then we can expose them. When the riot breaks out, and the killing begins, we can just send the entire Ministry building to hell together with everyone inside. Hahahaha!!" She said with a wicked grin plastered across her face. "We'll become the heroes to expose the hideous truth of the highest power in the wizarding world while gaining lots of followers and support from the public! Tehehehehe!! Master you sure know how to plan ahead!"
Ryan grinned evilly as he listened to Bellatrix's idea. It sounded perfect. After removing Voldemort from his way, he can use that opportunity to expose the ministry and destroy them, then he'll be able to create a strong foothold for himself in the wizarding world.
'I've never imagined that coming here would be this helpful. Heck, I even forgot that this place was hidden here. But it seems like my good luck is shining on me brightly. Well, I better start placing the curses and grab whatever I can.'
He began casting the silent incantation for explosive curses around the entire department of mystery so that it wouldn't trigger unless he wanted it to go off. Then he started grabbing whatever valuable items he could find including books, research papers, cursed objects, potion ingredients, rare artifacts, etc. Bellatrix too grabbed some things that she liked and stuffed them into Ryan's bag of holding.
Thanks to the Mokeskin pouches, Ryan brought with him, both Bellatrix and he were able to carry tons of stuff back without anyone knowing about it.
Bellatrix also put some curses around the place while gathering the stuff.
Finally, after clearing the entire department of mysteries of all important things, they meet up with the others at the exit gate.
