Bab 143: A bit of rest… in the middle of the battle

But... the next moment, the bat was gone.

A shiver ran down my spine, immediately took a step and appeared atop the cottage.

BOOOOOMM!!!

The boulder I was standing on shattered and exploded, sending debris flying in all directions. I quickly stepped away again, appearing behind a small tree at the edge of the pond, where the debris couldn't reach, but I couldn't afford to stay in one place. I moved again, appearing on the far side of the Hidden Falls, just a step away from the waterfall.

The two places I had just been exploded, and I caught a glimpse of a thin red blur moving rapidly, too fast for me to track clearly.

I reappeared beside the cottage that was destroyed by the boulder's debris and took a low stance. Pouring half my mana into my sword, I held it with both hands, prepared for any attack or defense. My aura was still covering me but I thinned it further to make it more condensed.
