Bab 42: Chapter 39 The Kannabi Bridge II
Seeing the giant boulder headed their way, even the sneaking ninja below Obito's feet ran away as fast as he could.
The giant boulder was big enough that it completely covered the battle area, fortunately while Minato had no time to help, Usagi took his blade in a sheathing stance as he turned on the lightning chakra mode.
His body thrummed with energy as the wild grass in the area swayed wildly, his eyes briefly let out an electric glow.
'Lightning style: Splitting current,'
Usagi unleashed the blade, an arc of pure lightning struck the descending boulder followed by it splitting apart like tofu as the lightning arc traveled a few more meters before it disappeared, meanwhile, the split boldered suddenly blasted from within, turning into countless small rocks which were manageable.
"Th-this is impossib-" *puchi*
Usagi's blade went straight through the jonins mouth, killing him on the spot.
Seeing the remarkable display of power by Usagi who was able to take care of a ten meters big boulder with relative ease, the enemy was distracted, seeing this both Kakashi and Minato took the chance and unleashed their signature Jutsu, neutralizing the enemy.
Rin and Obito were also done with their enemies, albeit Obito suffered a few injuries, nothing that Rin and a few pills couldn't eat.
"Good job! Usagi-san, they don't call you the Kaminari for nothing," Minato gave a thumbs up before he evaluated the surroundings.
"We should move out and hide for a while, the commotion must have alerted the enemies, the mission is of the utmost importance and must be completed." Minato advised.
Kakashi and Usagi's use of Lightning jutsu was bound to attract some attention.
"Understood!" Kakashi nodded.
Usagi also picked up a corpse and then used transformation jutsu to turn into a rock ninja, the others also followed and disguised themselves.

Needless to say they finally arrived at the Kannabi bridge after going through two more scout parties.
Usagi also contemplated his arsenal of Jutsu, almost none of them were good for secret missions like these.
'Must get Orochimaru to hand me some genjutsu and fuinjutsu later' Usagi thought to himself.
Arriving at the Kannabi bridge, the group took a survey of the place from afar.
"As I expected, the enemy is on alert, the bridge is being guarded by four joninsand two chunin....this is a little difficult, Minato said as he eyes the one meter wide and a 700 meters long bridge.
Two jonins guarding one end each and two chunins guarding the middle, Usagi wondered why Minato didn't just go ahead and kill the jonins, he definitely had the capacity to do so.
'Don't tell me that Obito and Rin nearly died, because Minato is trying to help the chunins gain experience,' Usagi thought this approach was a little weird.
This whole mission is a big spill, in fact, Minato shouldn't need to take anyone with him on this mission, with his space-time jutsu, he alone is enough for these guys.
Usagi looked at Obito's back who was looking at the formation of Rock ninjas with some fear.
Rin and Kakashi were also serious.
"Kakashi and Usagi, you guys distract two jonin each while I plant the explosive tags, we need to make sure the Kannabi bridge is nothing but scrap once we are done with it. Rin and Obito should deal with the two Chunins," Minato relayed his orders.
Usagi didn't feel any burden, he wasn't the leader so he didn't need to take any responsibility for anyone that died.

Two Rock ninjas were on the lookout, their eyes intently watching in the direction of the tall grassland area.
Not even a lapse of attention was present in their eyes as they did their duty, they knew the importance of the bridge and what it implied if they lost.
*Sizzle*
*Sizzle*
Suddenly the two of them heard a familiar sound, the sound of lightning, as soon as they did, the two immediately got into a battle stance, ready to impale their enemies with dozens of Earth bullets if they dared to come.
Before they could make heads and tails of what happened, A shard sword cut through the head of one of the jonin, the other quickly released his jutsu in retaliation but the sturdy earth bullets merely ticked Usagi's lightning armor.
"Is that all you got!?" Usagi questioned, before the Jonin could even register what was happening, Usagi kicked him square in the stomach.
Though contrary to the familiar feeling of flesh being pummeled under his foot, he felt a familiar hardness from the opponent's stomach.
"Oh! A steel user, this is interesting," Usagi rushed at the enemy as countless sword like spikes tried to impale him from below.
The sudden commotion also caught the attention of the other four ninjas.
"Quick! Call for reinforcements," One of the jonins shouted,before he could understand, he died as Minato appeared behind him.
Rin and Obito also acted as they jumped at the two chunins by climbing from under the bridge.
Kakashi took the moment of distraction to deliver a killing blow to the last jonin ninja, though he was also hurt seeing as the enemy had managed to cut at just below his knees, his calf muscles were damaged.
*hwip....boom*
The sounds of fireworks suddenly going off brought everyone back to earth as Obito was flung aside by his enemy.
'Tch! Idiot!' Kakashi couldn't help but curse seeing Obito try and walk away from his enemy.
The chunin had half his face burnt off but he had a cruel look in his eyes, holding the burned-off firework in his hands.
"Hehe...you will die...YOU WILL ALL DIE!"
"Shut up!"
