Lake had been dead serious, "If I don't pick, he's going to come here." He calmly told the gun-toting Alpha.

The Alpha couldn't come to a decision until the call dropped, shaken by the possibility of getting to speak with Davian in person.

Lake was fine with Davian having fanboys, what he didn't appreciate however, was those fans trying to put a bullet in his head.

His phone started ringing almost instantly again, making the Alpha flinch. "Don't you dare pick."

Lake hadn't been about to, not picking would only bring Davian over much quicker. But unfortunately, the ruckus finally attracted Rosie's attention.

The secretary's eyes narrowed as she took a step closer, "Lake? Is something wrong."
