"Your temperature is too high, I need to cool you down." He explained to Master Davian.

The Mafia King's hold on him had gone slack again, like he didn't even have enough energy to keep holding onto him.

Lake didn't try to put some distance between them again, knowing fully well that it would just be a repeat of the Alpha grabbing him again.

"S' not," Davian slurred.

"It is," Lake insisted, "I'm just going to get something from the bathroom, come with me if you like." He tagged on, exasperated with the Alpha's clinginess.

He got off the bed then and headed to the bathroom, pleasantly surprised when Davian didn't immediately latch onto him.

He quickly got what he needed from the bathroom, filling the bowl with water.

He turned around when he was done, sighing in exasperation at the sight of Davian leaning weakly at the doorway.

"I told you, I'm not leaving." He marched right to him.
