The Alpha's brow furrowed a bit and then straightened out, immediately beelining towards him.

Lake's eyes darted around, wondering if he still had the chance to escape.

He would ditch his meal if he had to, cooking was less trouble than getting tangled further with Clint.

"You left before I could say goodbye," Clint said with sad eyes, inviting himself to sit at the table.

Lake resigned himself to another meeting, fiddling with the pasta he had gotten.

"Uh… something came up," He muttered, noting that Clint just deserted the lady he had come in with.

She stood awkwardly in the distance waiting for him, and Lake almost wanted to invite her to come sit at the table.

He felt a little bad for her but inviting her meant he was giving Clint an opportunity to stay longer than he wanted him to, so he let her be.

"You'll be at the park tomorrow, right?" Clint leaned forward, earnest.
