Bab 146: Inheritance

Ramsey's head snaps back as Nadia's palm connects with his cheek, her face twisted in rage. "How can you say that to your family, Ramsey?!" she hisses, her eyes blazing with fury.

Ramsey moves his jaw around, his cheek stinging, and glares back at his sister. "Robin is my family too," he growls, his voice low and even.

"I won't let her stay with Malik. Do you understand? If she finds out she was part of a mafia before she lost her memory, it would break her heart." he continues.

Nadia shakes her head, her dark hair whipping around her shoulders.

"You're being reckless! You think you can just charge in there and rescue her? You'll only end up getting yourself killed!"

"It's not reckless if it's for her," Ramsey counters, his fists clenching at his sides.

"You don't get it. She's lost everything, and if Malik is involved again, she deserves to know the truth—her truth."
