Bab 60: A Situation

As the evening wears on, the conversation flows more freely, and Malik finds himself relaxing in the strange woman's company. The tension that had once hung thick between them seems to have dissipated, replaced by a sense of cautious curiosity.

When the last dregs of their drinks have been consumed, Malik rises from his seat, offering Robin a small smile. "Well, I should be heading home. Thank you for the company, Ms. Emerson. It was... nice."

Robin returns the smile, her eyes shining with an emotion that Malik can't quite place. "The pleasure was all mine, Malik."

As they step out into the cool night air, Malik turns to her, a curious expression on his face.

"Would you like a ride?" he asks, gesturing towards his own vehicle.

Robin shakes her head, her smile widening. "No, thank you. My driver's already here." She pauses, then adds, "Goodnight, Malik. I'll see you tomorrow."
