Bab 41: Hunting the Renegade Lieutenant

Madison gathered her most trusted advisors and fighters. They needed to track down Caden Bloodfang, the renegade lieutenant who might be behind Wald's capture. Every moment counted.

"We ride at dawn," Madison announced. "Prepare your fastest horses and sharpest weapons. This won't be easy."

As the others hurried off to get ready, Rendal approached Madison. "My lady, are you sure about this? It could be a trap."

Madison nodded grimly. "It probably is. But we're out of options. If Caden really is King Darkon's son, he won't stop until he has the throne. We need to end this now."

They set out just as the sun peeked over the horizon, a small but fierce band of warriors. Madison led the way, her senses on high alert for any sign of danger or deception. The forest was eerily quiet as they rode as if the very trees were holding their breath.
