"You and I know running is not an option. You will just find me and drag me back here after a brief ass whooping." Lucius shrugged and turned to meet the Beast Whisperer's gaze.

This time, the man was not in his usual tattered cloak and bandages. To Lucius's surprise, the Beast Whisperer looked human.

He was nearly 6.5ft tall with short curly black hair and a neat buzz cut. While he looked human, there were some black cracks spread across his eyelids, and the man's bulky and muscular figure made Lucius feel small.

He was dressed in a plain black shirt, black joggers, and black bear flip-flops. Who would think the man who attacked Texas and fought America's God of war wore flip-flops at home?

"Well… I have to say, this is disappointing. I don't think you can ever intimidate me after this." Lucius sipped his coffee.

"Wait… Do you recognize me?" The Beast Whisperer was stunned.
