"Soul ..."
Andy pressed down his inner excitement and rearranged his thoughts.
Ignoring the legendary Dimensional Being, for the time being, the ghosts did have immortality, and the Horcrux made by splitting the soul could certainly be used to avoid death.
The ghosts living in Hogwarts, as well as Voldemort, their existence could prove this.
But now there was another problem.
Andy thought in his heart, 'Such an obvious example, why didn't anyone study it?'
There are very few people who know about Horcrux, but ghosts ... although they cannot be said to be everywhere, at least there are quite a lot of them at Hogwarts.
And looking at those ghosts, they seemed to be living quite happily.
But in the magic world, it seemed that no one yearned to become a ghost.
"Are there any flaws in ghosts?" Andy frowned slightly.
If it wasn't too rude, Andy really wanted to find a ghost to ask properly: what it was really like to be a ghost.
"Well ...," Andy mused.
The flaws of ghosts could be left aside for now, but the matter of 'soul immortality'... was something that could really be done.
It's just that a soul alone is incapable of using magic, even Voldemort's wandering soul can only rely on absorbing the life force of other creatures to regain its strength.
"Life force ..."
Andy thought of the point he made earlier - magic power originates from life.
'If analysed based on this viewpoint, the so-called Dimensional Being should be a soul dominating a dimension and using the dimension as a physical body and thus using the power of the dimension.'
'If dimensions don't perish, the soul won't die.'
'And the same goes for Horcrux.'
'Using some kind of magical item as a dimension, allowing a soul fragment to occupy it, thus avoiding death.'
Andy raised an eyebrow.
The reasoning was similar, it seemed that the ancient wizards had discovered the secrets of the soul long ago, and had also conducted some research on the soul.
The reason why they didn't seek to transform into ghosts was most likely because ghosts had some kind of major flaws-especially the fact that ghosts couldn't use magic.
"So everything is back to square one once again."
How to avoid physical death!
To be honest, after learning these secrets, Andy suddenly realised that the path of magic that Voldemort had taken had some merit.
Dark magic transfiguration was a magical transformation for the physical body, while Horcrux took the magic item as a dimension, making the soul fragment a beggarly version of the Dimensional Being.
Voldemort was likewise pursuing immortality!
Andy thought about it but decided to add points as soon as possible, starting with the [Dark Magic] talent, and then fully studying the dark magic in the areas of life and soul to decipher the secrets of the soul and life.
As for the source of [Potential Points] ...
It would be best to go through studying Combination Magic!
"Whew - it's time to sleep!"
Andy lay on the bed, operating the Occlumency to empty his mind, and soon fell into a deep sleep.
***
In the next period of time, Andy's study of magic became more and more fervent.
Every day, in addition to eating, sleeping, and attending classes, the rest of the time was either spent reading books in the library or practising magic in the Room of Requirement.
That desperate energy, even the senior students, I'm afraid, would have to shake their heads when they saw it, exclaiming that they couldn't do such a volume of grind.
But there were still people at Hogwarts who could keep up with Andy's Exp gain.
For example, ... a certain Miss Know-It-All.
Ever since the discovery of the initial room in the Room of Requirement, it had become Andy and Hermione's secret base, where the two spent most of their time studying.
The grimoires that Lady Ravenclaw had left here had been sorted out a long time ago, and not surprisingly to Andy, most of the grimoires here were high-end magical theories.
Ordinary wizards, if they saw these books, what they saw might just be magic theories.
But Andy had already initially touched on combination magic, well ... perhaps it would be more appropriate to call it 'fusion magic'. In short, from Andy's perspective, these magic theories helped his own fusion magic a lot.
Thanks to this, Andy's fusion magic progressed extremely fast, and near the time before the Christmas holidays, Andy was already able to try multiple combinations.
It was just that the power of the magic was very average.
But what surprised Andy the most was Hermione's progress.
The little witch seemed to be well-suited to fusing spells, and during one of the magic practice sessions, Hermione just tried it on a whim, and it unexpectedly worked.
It almost stunned Andy!
Because of this, Hermione now often boasted of being the most orthodox heir of Ravenclaw, and was determined to carry forward Lady Ravenclaw's magic, studying exceptionally hard.
This approach led to the result that Andy was frequently swept along and unable to take care of himself.
Thanks to this period of progress, at a recent dueling club gathering, Hermione surprisingly easily defeated Cho Chang with her fusion magic, and also sparred with Cedric.
If it wasn't for Cedric's really fast reaction speed, he would have probably lost at Hermione's hands.
The increase in strength was visible to the naked eye, which made Hermione grind for exp even harder.
So when the Christmas holiday came, even Andy breathed a hard sigh of relief.
There would be no more grinding!
On the last day before the holidays, Hogwarts hosted a dinner party and the professors were all there.
The atmosphere in the great hall was joyful, the young wizards were excitedly discussing the arrangements for the holidays, and the professors were also talking in whispers, chatting about some things inside and outside the school.
"Andy, are you still going to Godric's Hollow for Christmas this year?" Harry asked as he walked over.
"Hm…! Do you want to...?" Andy asked.
Harry was a little torn, he would love to go to Godric's Hollow to see the traces his parents had left behind, but Andy's family might be celebrating Christmas, and it wouldn't be appropriate for him, an outsider, to get involved.
"Andy, can you take some more pictures for me?" Harry pleaded.
"Sure, no problem!" Andy agreed in a heartbeat.
This would save me a lot of money.
"Thanks!" Harry said gratefully.
Andy had an idea, "Hermione, how about coming to Godric's Hollow after the holidays? In the wizarding world, Godric's Hollow is a very famous place."
Harry stared at Andy with a look of admiration at his words, if he had Andy's kind of shamelessness, he would have been able to solve his single problem as well.
"Godric's Hollow?"
Hermione was a little tempted, she had heard the name of this valley a long time ago, "But will ... it be inconvenient?"
"How so?"
Andy came up with an idea, "There are several days off for Christmas! On the last two days of the holiday, you can take the Knight Bus to Godric's Hollow. We can also go to King's Cross together when school starts."
"Erm ... aren't there any other means of transport?" Hermione asked in a tangled voice.
The young witch couldn't really figure out why anyone would prefer something like the Knight Bus.
The traffic police should have just towed that piece of junk!
"A fireplace would be fine!"
Andy offered again, "You could go to the Leaky Cauldron and use the fireplace and come straight to my grandfather's house."
