Andy raised his hand in a gesture.
Dumbledore was a little surprised, but said with a smile on his face, "Mr Collins seems to have some doubts."
"Headmaster Dumbledore, if - I mean if I wish to have a tragic accident and die a painful and gruesome death, does that mean I can go in?" Andy asked in the heat of the moment.
After getting used to teasing Isabel at home, Andy felt that he should change this habit.
There was a burst of laughter in the great hall, and all the young wizards looked at Andy as if they wanted to know who was so brave as to dare to hold up Dumbledore's line.
Hermione gave Andy a hard stare, she had known for some time that Andy was not a good student.
Professor McGonagall, on the other hand, sighed in relief, and her gaze went to Professor Flitwick, vaguely gloating and feeling a little sympathetic at the same time.
She seemed to be looking forward to how Professor Flitwick would deal with this mischievous student.
Dumbledore, on the other hand, froze for a moment as he glanced at Andy, quite the perceptive little wizard.
"Ah!"
Dumbledore said with a smirk, "If such an unfortunate event occurs, then I will have to inform your parents to come to the school to collect your body, for which I would deeply be sorry."
That was a threat, wasn't it?
Andy blinked, hoping that someone would notice that he was being threatened.
"If there are no further questions, then - before we go to bed, let us sing the school song. Everyone can pick their favourite tune" Dumbledore continued.
Andy noticed that all the professors' faces seemed to freeze at that moment.
School song?
I don't think this scene was in the film.
Andy was vaguely looking forward to it.
Dumbledore flicked his wand, and a long golden ribbon floated out of it, coiling like a snake in a line of text high up in the Great Hall.
"Everyone, choose your favourite tune..." Dumbledore said as he acted like a conductor, "Ready, sing!"
All the students and faculty sang at the top of their lungs.
The only thought in Andy's mind at that moment was - I can't believe I didn't bring my camera!
If this scene of all the professors singing the school song could be captured on film, Andy believed that the Daily Prophet would definitely offer a sky-high price for this.
A second thought that popped up in Andy's mind was - if I did that, I would definitely be murdered by a group of Hogwarts Professors!
Isabel has harmed me!
Andy gritted his teeth and hated it, he got so used to teasing that little lass that Andy now wanted to joke a little bit no matter what he saw.
This habit has to be changed!
After singing the school song, a group of young wizards walked out of the great hall under the leadership of the Prefects.
"Be careful of those revolving staircases, don't go in the wrong direction, and don't go too far to the side."
Prefect Penelope explained, "Hogwarts' ever-changing staircases were also designed by the founder of the School - Rowena Ravenclaw, who made the suggestion and designed it herself."
Andy sighed at this and said, "In that case, Ravenclaw should be the strongest wizard among the four founders."
"Why do you say that?"
Hermione looked at Andy curiously, "I've never seen in the book 'Hogwarts, A History', an account of the strength of the four founders."
The other young wizards, including the two Prefects, also looked at Andy curiously.
Could it be that Andy knew some insider information that they did not know?
"Just knowing how to read books is not enough, you have to learn to think carefully."
Andy feigned to reprimand Hermione, and then explained under Hermione's dissatisfied gaze, "Think about it, Ravenclaw designed the school's staircase like this, yet she wasn't beaten to death by the other three founders, doesn't that mean that Ravenclaw's strength is the strongest!"
Hermione's face flushed dark, she looked at Andy angrily and said, "I don't know if Ravenclaw would be beaten to death, but I guess, you might be beaten to death soon!"
Andy gave Hermione a provocative look, a one-on-one, huh?
Hermione nearly exploded in anger!
Penelope, however, somewhat agreed with Andy's words, "There's a bit of truth to that guess, I wonder how many young wizards want to beat the designer of the staircase to death every year."
Along the winding, dynamic staircase, the group made their way to the Ravenclaw tower.
On an ancient wooden door, there was a huge eagle-shaped bronze ring.
Penelope tapped it three times and the door ring uttered a cryptic phrase, "What's not a crime to steal?"
"Stealing laughter."
Penelope answered quickly, "All the other Houses have a fixed password, while we don't. As long as you can answer the questions of the door ring correctly - in fact, there isn't a standard answer to these questions - you can enter as long as you can convince it ..."
After explaining how to enter the door to the dormitory, Penelope led the young first-year wizard into the Ravenclaw common room.
It was a large round room with elegant arched windows opening up on the walls. Since the Ravenclaw common room was on the topmost floor of the tower, you could see a very far view through the windows.
There were also many blue and bronze-coloured silks hanging in the common room, and the ceiling was somewhat similar to the one in the great hall, dotted with tiny stars.
The room had wide tables and chairs, rows of bookshelves, and a white marble statue of Ravenclaw placed across the door.
Penelope stood in front of a group of young wizards, and after telling the history of Ravenclaw House and the famous wizards who had graduated from Ravenclaw as if she were reciting from a book she memorized, she breathed a sharp sigh of relief and turned around to walk into the girls' dormitory with girl students.
"So...see you tomorrow!" Andy waved towards Hermione.
"Hmph! You better not be late for the first day of school." Hermione grunted lightly and followed a group of young witches into the girls' dormitory.
The dormitories had been assigned a long time ago.
Andy walked into the dormitory and found the bed with his name on it, noticing that his suitcase had already been delivered a long time ago.
"Hello guys, I'm Andy Collins." Andy introduced himself to his roommates.
"I know you! Oh, I'm Anthony Goldstein."
Anthony said with some excitement, "You've got a lot of nerve, do you really want to go to that corridor on the third floor?"
Do you want to come along?
Andy realised that whether it was in Gryffindor or not, the young wizards always had a passion for adventure.
"Of course, I'm going to check it out - but only after I'm fully prepared," Andy said.
After all, bragging wasn't against school rules.
"Hi guys, I'm Terry Boot!"
"Uh, I'm Michael Corner, hi guys."
Andy looked over at Michael, "I remember you, we were on the same boat."
"Well, I think it's best if we pack up and get showered for bed."
Andy was thankful that Hermione had reminded him not to be late tomorrow, otherwise he might have been detained by a certain Potion Professor on his second day at Hogwarts.
Andy picked up the class schedule on his bedside table.
'We have two Potions classes in a row with Hufflepuff tomorrow morning, I have insider information that Professor Snape is very biased towards Slytherin.'
Andy always felt as if he had blacked all the professors at Hogwarts without even realising it, 'But since we're not Gryffindors, Professor Snape won't target us too much in general.'
