Matthew was determined to make the right decision for his future. Despite the tempting offers from top Premier League clubs, he decided to reject them all - for now.

He knew that he was still only 16, and he had a lot to learn and develop before making a permanent move to a bigger club. He was focused on his education and his football development, and he didn't want to rush into anything.

"I'm grateful for the interest, but I'm not ready to make a decision yet," Matthew told his agent. "I want to focus on my game and my studies for the next two years. Then, we can reassess and see what's best for me."

His agent understood Matthew's perspective and respected his decision. "Okay, let's put everything on hold for now. We'll keep the lines open with the interested clubs, but we won't make any commitments until you're 18."
