"One-night stand"

"Yay, Aunt Suzy." Joon Ah ran happily to Suzy as she saw her.

"Oh my cute Joon Ah, Joon Won, I've missed you two so much. Come hug me," Suzy said warmly, opening her arms for a hug as the two kids ran to her, kissing her cheeks.

"How are you two? I hope you're not giving Mommy a hard time, hmm?" Suzy asked, to which they nodded.

Suzy smiled as she stood up and warmly hugged Rosalina, their mother, and her best friend.

"It's good to see you back in the country," Suzy said softly as they walked to the couch and sat down.

"Yeah, but I've come early because of your upcoming wedding. I want to make it up to you as I missed your engagement day," Rosalina said, smiling.

"Aww, so sweet. Wow, but you're becoming more and more beautiful, Rose. I can't believe you're a mother of two and still looking so beautiful and elegant," Suzy praised.

"Come on, don't flatter me," Rosalina laughed.

"I'm serious," Suzy insisted.

"Whatever. Anyway, how's your husband-to-be? I hope he's doing well and not like that punk you dated years ago," Rosalina said with a teasing look.

"Haha. No, he's a good young man, trust me," Suzy replied, laughing at her friend's expression.

"I hope so, or I'll rip off his head if he dares to make my best friend sad," Rosalina said protectively.

"What would I have become if I didn't have you," Suzy said with a smile.

"So, how about your dad? Does he approve of your marriage with your fiancé, or are you just doing things your way?" Rosalina asked, turning to her kids.

"You two should go to the room and watch TV, okay? Mom is talking to Aunt Suzy," Rosalina instructed her kids, who nodded and excused themselves.

"So, back to our discussion, tell me what your dad thought about this marriage?" Rosalina repeated her question.

"He approved it, but even if he didn't, I'll always do things my way. I don't need his approval for my love life," Suzy said confidently.

"That's a relief then," Rosalina said, smiling.

"So, how long are you planning to stay at the hotel?" Suzy asked Rosalina.

"After your wedding, I'll get a house. Did I tell you I was introduced to modeling?" Rosalina said.

"No, but wow, when was that?" Suzy asked with interest.

"In California, I did a shoot with the FX brand. At first, I didn't want to, but the CEO is my friend and he wanted me to be his brand model. It was just some shooting, so I gave in at last," Rosalina explained.

"Wow, what if that turns out to be a great success? You could be a superstar model. Thank goodness you have the nicest shape and body, along with the prettiest face. You'll be a big hit, trust me," Suzy said excitedly.

"Why do you always seem excited about every little thing?" Rosalina teased, rolling her eyes.

"I'm serious, Rose," Suzy said, laughing lightly.

"I never dreamed of becoming a model or celebrity. You know I don't like too much attention," Rosalina said, rolling her eyes playfully.

"You should start learning that now," Suzy said, laughing.

"What would you like to eat? In short, I've already placed the order," Rosalina said, and then there was a knock at the door.

Rosalina stood up to answer the door, which turned out to be three staff members with trays of food and drinks as expected.

"Please, come in," Rosalina welcomed them, opening the door widely for them to enter before returning to the couch.

Their food was placed on the table, and the staff members left after bowing.

"Let me take the kids to eat," Rosalina said, getting up to fetch her children.

They returned, ate quietly, and after finishing, Joon Ah made a request.

"Aunt Suzy, can you take us to buy some toys and chocolates?" Joon Ah asked with a pleading look.

"Of course, yes. We will go after we finish eating," Suzy replied, smiling and gently ruffling Joon Ah's soft hair.

"Aunt Suzy, I want that," Joon Won pointed to a toy on the top shelf in the shopping mall.

"Okay, hold on. Let me get them for you," Suzy said, stretching her hand to reach for the toys on the top shelf.

"Here you go," she said, handing the toys to the twins one by one.

"Yay, it's cute," Joon Ah exclaimed happily, holding her new toy.

Assistant Dae Hyun, who had been tasked to gather information about the kids and their mother, followed them secretly to the shopping mall. He made sure to take some pictures of them, especially the kids moving around and selecting items in the mall.

With a satisfied smile on Assistant Dae Hyun's face, he completed his job perfectly without raising any suspicion. He left the shopping mall to provide feedback to his boss regarding Rosalina and her kids.

"Babies, that's enough for today. Let's explore some other places," Rosalina said to her kids, who nodded in agreement.

After settling the bills and packing their purchases into bags, they walked to the car, stored the bags in the trunk, and drove to other beautiful places where the kids had fun and were happy.

Later, when they returned to the hotel suite, Suzy had a room next to theirs to spend the night.

"Good night," Suzy said, yawning as she left their room for hers.

A month later, after Suzy's wedding...

Rosalina had secured a house for herself and her kids to settle down in Korea. She had hired two maids to help with household chores and look after the kids when she was out.

She was flying to California the next day for her new modeling career, as her friend Kevin had taken her profession seriously. She was already trending and making a name for herself as a top model, boosting the popularity and profits of the FX brand.

Now, she was not only working for FX but also receiving offers from other companies abroad. Kevin, her close friend in California, had been encouraging her and assuring her of her potential in the modeling industry.

"I'll only do this for a short time. I've told you I don't want this, but how can I stop now when it's turned into something big," Rosalina said to Kevin during their conversation.

"You fit this profession perfectly, and I'm grateful that you've brought success to my company. You made a big impact," Kevin said, laughing.

"Stop joking. I may fit this profession, but I don't like it," Rosalina replied, rolling her eyes.

"You should consider getting a personal assistant. Since you're a model without an agent, it's easy to decline offers if you don't like them. Out of all the offers from other companies, I've selected the best three for you. These companies are well-known, and you'll earn a lot if you sign contracts with them. You've also been invited to a show, as they are all praising a beautiful Asian woman like you after your shoots with my brand," Kevin explained as he sipped his Americano coffee.

"Okay, see you at the airport tomorrow. My kids must be missing me at home," Rosalina said, preparing to leave.

"Alright, that hotel you reserved for me at the Royal Land was amazing. I didn't know there were such beautiful hotels in Korea with such stunning views. It's a truly beautiful country," Kevin remarked before they hugged informally and parted ways.

Rosalina left the café with Kevin, who was driven back to the hotel suite, while she drove back home.

"Mommy is home," Rosalina announced as she walked into the house, and her kids ran to hug her.

"Mommy," the kids ran to their mom, hugging her.

"I know my babies must have missed me, right?" Rosalina asked and led the way to the sitting room.

"Yes, Mommy," Joon Ah said and sat on her mom's lap.

"Oh, my baby. But you guys will have to be good, okay? Mommy is traveling to California tomorrow for work, and I can't take you with me. But I promise I won't stay long. Be good and don't trouble the nannies, okay?" Rosalina said while her two kids were silent with their cute sad faces.

"I'm sorry, but mommy needs to work, okay? Don't worry, I won't stay too long, okay?" Rosalina said again.

"Don't worry, Mom, we'll be fine," Joon Woo, the little boy, said sharply with a smile, showing his teeth.

"Aww, I trust you, but don't fight each other and stick with each other. No running around or going out unless your nannies want to take you out, okay?" Rosalina said to her kids softly.

"Okay, Mommy," the kids said, nodding their heads.

"Good, mommy loves you two," Rosalina said and kissed the two on their foreheads.

"Gu Won, who had been busy with his company work, was listening to his assistant Dae Hyun reporting on Rosalina and her kids, whom Gu Won had asked him to gather information on. Dae Hyun informed him that Ms. Yoona was flying to California tomorrow with her male friend, who had made her a model after a successful shoot for his company. The same shoot had also taken her to California for work with some other companies who wanted her to promote their brands.

Gu Won looked at the pictures Dae Hyun had collected and saw Rosalina's face for the second time after years of their encounter in a hotel. He was lost in her beauty and longed to meet her again. He then looked at the other picture and saw two kids who shocked and surprised him. The little boy looked like him, while the little girl looked like her mother but had some resemblance to him as well.

"I can't believe these are my kids," Gu Won muttered to himself and chuckled lightly. "I will claim them. They are my kids," he thought as he turned to Dae Hyun.

He instructed Dae Hyun to report back to him when Rosalina returned to the country.
