Bab 101: Chapter 100

I was nervous and restless as we traveled to their grandfather's birthday venue. Zaiden had only sent one person to pick me up. He was busy because everyone needed to be there.

The car ride was long and quiet. I looked out the window and saw the city change into the countryside. The big buildings and busy streets became open fields and quiet roads. This change made me feel even more unsure and worried.

As we got closer, my nerves grew stronger. I was going to meet their family, and I didn't know what to expect. Would they like me? Or would they think I didn't belong? I hurt their son; I should expect that they won't like me.

I looked at the driver. He didn't say anything. He was just a reminder of why I was here. I was here because of Zairon and our complicated relationship. I wanted to run away, but I knew I couldn't. I had to face this alone for now.
