Vio blinked,

startled by Catarina's sudden entrance. "Oh my! Are you okay, sweetheart?!" Catarina rushed to his side, her hands trembling as she grasped his shoulders. "I got a call from the hospital and came here as fast as I could! What happened? Who did this to you?!"

Her motherly concern was impossible to contain, her voice quivering with desperation. Lav, sitting quietly on the bench, rose to her feet and discreetly stepped back. She wiped her tears, a subtle gesture to mask the emotions that had already spilled over.

"I'm fine," Vio replied, his gaze drifting to Lav, who stood with her head bowed. "She saved my life" His words shifted the room's focus in an instant. Lav's head lifted, surprise flickering in her eyes, while Catarina turned around to face her. "Thank you, dear. I'm indebted to you"
