Bab 38: Untitled
Qing Mian quickly took her phone out to check who was calling her and she was when she saw it was Xue Xi.
Before Qing Mian could say anything, Xue Xi quickly shouted her name excitedly.
"Mianmian! Where are you?", she asked.
"I am with...", she wanted to talk but was interrupted by Xue Xi again.
"It doesn't matter who you are with, you have to come to me now", she said with an excited tone.
"Why are you so excited?", she asked.
"You'll know when you get here madam", Xue Xi said and hung up quickly, leaving no room for Qing Mian to talk.
"What's wrong?", Li Min asked when she noticed her expression.
"I have to go now", she said.
"Huh?", Li Min was surprised.
"Bye", Qing Mian said and wanted to open the door but Li Min pulled her back.
"Mianmian...", he said lightly.
"I really have to go", she said and quickly left the car.
Li Min was dumbfounded and didn't even know when exactly she left.
Qing Mian quickly rushed to where Xue Xi was and wanted to ask why she was excited when she saw Xue Muyun in the car.
"What happened?", Qing Mian asked Xue Xi.
"Nothing much. My brother wants to treat us to a meal", she said excitedly.
"But why are you excited?", Qing Mian couldn't help but ask her because she could feel that Xue Xi was so excited.
"You don't have to know, let's go", she said with a laugh.
Xue Xi was excited because her brother told her that Qing Mian promised to treat him to a meal and she was so happy because she thought Qing Mian has let go of Li Min and can finally be her sister-in-law...hehehe.
"I don't know why you have to tag along", Xue Muyun said and glared at Xue Xi.
"Hmph, don't forget I am Mianmian's friend and the only one that can help you if you want to get together with her", she said softly.
Xue Muyun could not say anything and only glared at her.
"Brother Muyun", Qing Mian greeted politely.
"Ah Mian, how was your exam?", he asked.
"It was fine", she said softly.
"You didn't even ask how my exam was", Xue Xi sneered.
"Who cares about you?!", he snorted.
"You are being too rude to your future benefactor", Xue Xi rolled her eyes at him
"Whatever", Xue Muyun scoffed.
"Where exactly are we going now?", Xue Xi asked angrily.
"Why are you angry? I didn't ask you to follow us", Xue Muyun glared at her.
"I don't care what you say, I'll follow you no matter where you go", she said.
"Start driving already", Xue Xi shouted when Xue Muyun turned to look at her.
"I can't believe you guys still banter", Qing Mian laughed.
"It's all his fault, he always bully me", Xue Xi quickly defended herself.
"Who can bully you? Don't make me laugh, you fool", Xue Muyun said.
"I don't want to talk to you anymore", Xue Xi yelled.
"What a spoilt girl", Xue Muyun scoffed.
"You're the spoilt one, you bully", Xue Xi said angrily.
"Tsk, you guys always banter even when you love eachother so much", Qing Mian smiled brightly.
"Who loves him", Xue Xi sneered.
"Silly girl", Xue Muyun laughed and thew something at Xue Xi.
"What is this? Woah, I knew you are the best
brother in the world", she said with a sweet tone and opened the chocolate pack.
"Here's yours", Xue Muyun gave Qing Mian her favourite strawberry flavour.
"Thanks brother", Qing Mian smiled.
"Anything for you little cuties", he smiled
"Brother, you also think I am cute?", Xue Xi asked.
"You're very cute, my little princess", he said.
"I'm now a big princess", Xue Xi said and they all laughed.
They were already at the restaurant when Xue Muyun's phone rang suddenly.
"I have to take this call, you guys can go ahead", he said.
"Okay", Xue Xi said and pulled Qing Mian away quickly.
"Why are you excited all of a sudden?",Qing Mian asked curiously.
"Did you see that woman now?", Xue Xi asked.
"Which woman?", Qing Mian asked.
"The lady we saw with Mr. Li last time", she whispered.
"Huh?"
"Do you think she's here to have dinner with Mr. Li?",Xue Xi asked.
"We'll still have to wait and see", Qing Mian said calmly.
"Why are you so calm?", she asked angrily.
"Do you expect me to start shouting, huh?", Qing Mian laughed.
"I'd really be disappointed if I see them together because you guys met today", Xue Xi said.
"It's fine", Qing Mian said.
"I hope it is",Xue Xi sighed.
"Why are you not entering?", Xue Muyun asked when he saw them standing at the entrance.
"We were waiting for you", Xue Xi pulled Qing Mian and entered the restaurant.
The restaurant was made for the rich alone and not many people were there today probably because of the weather or because someone important was there.
Qing Mian didn't know that the whole restaurant was reserved by Li Min and they were actually the only one there except Xiao Ning and it was because the Xue family had a status almost as equal as that of the Li family.
Soon, Qing Mian started chatting casually with Xue Xi and Xue Muyun.
"Why were you at our house the other day?", she asked Xue Muyun.
"I came to discuss something with your father", she said.
"My father?", she asked.
"You don't have to worry about anything", he smiled lightly at her.
"So, what do you guys plan to do now?", he asked them.
"We'll have a picnic and party with our friends from the orphanage", Qing Mian said.
"I am so glad we came to the countryside for a long vacation and finally got to meet you guys", Xue Xi said.
"How's Lu Rui doing now?", Xue Muyun asked suddenly.
"We found out that he's engaged to Qing Mian's step cousin", Xue Xi sighed.
"That's kid is something else", Xue Muyun sneered.
"I heard you are moving out to the capital soon", Xue Muyun asked again.
"Yes"
"So, will you attend university at the capital?", Xue Xi asked.
"Yes ma'am", she sighed.
"Since you're your mum's assistant, I guess you'll follow her to the filming site", Xue Muyun asked.
"Yes and I hope I'll learn more about acting that way"
"I want to be busy like you, all I will do at home is sleep and go shopping", Xue Xi sighed.
"I can accompany you anytime you are bored", Qing Mian said.
"I love you so much Mianmian", Xue Xi yelled.
"Hahaha", Qing Mian laughed.
They were immersed in their conversation and were shocked when someone suddenly started laughing.
"Don't make me laugh.Why did you go back? Is it because your little girlfriend?"
