Bab 14: Team ROWBY

Ozpin, fixed his glasses, as he saw Cardin and his team was made his team name was C.R.D.L or will Cardinal, next came Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren

Ozpin fixed his glasses as he looked at them, as he spoke. "Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. Everyone looked at the monitor as the names mixed. "You four will know as Team J.N.P.R or Juniper, your learned is Jaune Arc.

Hearing that Pyrrha Hughes Jaune as Jaune was shocked, they moved away as Ruby, Oscar, Weiss, Yang and Blake walked up, it was clear they are the 5 man team, which was already getting stairs.

Ozpin looked at them as he spoke. "And we have our the unusual team". He then pushed up his glass as he looked at them. "I personally have No problem with this.

Ozpin then said each of there names. Ruby Rose, Oscar Pine, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xaio Long and Blake Belladonna".

They then looked up as they saw the team name, a the letter of the first nams as chosen, it was R.O.W.B.Y

Ozpin looked at them as he spoke. "You will know as Team Row-bee, or will ROWBY, your leader is". Ozpin stopped clearly making a decision between two particular people before he diced. "Is Ruby Rose".

Ruby's eyes widened in shock, and her face turned as red as her cape. "M-Me? Leader?" she stammered, pointing at herself in disbelief.

Yang grinned and ruffled her sister's hair. "Congrats, sis! Looks like you're leading the charge now."

Weiss crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. "Why her? She's impulsive, inexperienced, and—"

"And totally awesome!" Yang interrupted, throwing her arm around Ruby's shoulders. "Come on, Weiss, give her a chance. She'll surprise you."

Blake nodded subtly. "She has potential. We'll support her."

Oscar looked at Ruby and gave her a reassuring smile. "You've got this, Ruby. Just be yourself, and we'll follow your lead."

Ruby glanced nervously at each of them before straightening her posture. "O-Okay... I'll do my best!" she said, determination beginning to shine in her silver eyes.

Ozpin smiled slightly at the scene before addressing the entire crowd. "Congratulations to all the teams. Your journey at Beacon has officially begun. Remember, teamwork, trust, and perseverance are the keys to your success. Dismissed."

As the teams dispersed, Ruby turned to her new teammates. "Alright, Team ROWBY, let's do this! We'll be the best team ever!"

Yang pumped her fist into the air. "Heck yeah!"

Blake smiled faintly. "It'll be interesting, at least."

Weiss sighed, though a small smile tugged at her lips. "Fine, but don't mess this up, Ruby."

Oscar chuckled, falling into step with them. "Let's aim for greatness, shall we?"

The newly formed Team ROWBY made their way out of the hall, their first steps as a team marked with anticipation, challenges, and the promise of adventure.

And what was the First thing the team did, figure out how there dorm room works, it was bigger then the normal ones, had enough room for 5 people and a kitchen and a bathroom.

It wouldn't be so bad, Until Oscar released something, there no separation for gender this was Co-ed Dorms, as for what Oscar thought on this was as the only guy in a 5 man team will.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh".

Mental screaming was Oscar reaction, he Somehow kept a normal face.

As Oscar stood in the doorway of their new dorm, his internal monologue was a whirlwind of panic.

No separation? Co-ed? Why? WHY? I'm the only guy here!

Externally, he maintained a calm and composed expression, nodding along as Ruby excitedly explored the room.

"This is amazing!" Ruby exclaimed, running over to the bunk beds. "We've got so much space! And look, a kitchen! I can make cookies anytime I want!"

Yang chuckled, tossing her bag onto one of the top bunks. "This is awesome. We've got everything we need, and we're all together. Team bonding, right?"

Blake set her bag down neatly in a corner and opened her book, already zoning out from the chaos. Weiss, on the other hand, was inspecting the room with a critical eye.

"This arrangement is… acceptable," Weiss finally said, her voice tinged with reluctance. "But I expect everyone to respect boundaries and maintain cleanliness."

Oscar, still standing awkwardly in the doorway, forced a laugh. "Uh, yeah, boundaries... sure thing."

Yang caught the slight hesitation in his voice and smirked. "What's wrong, Oscar? Nervous about sharing a room with four girls?"

Oscar nearly choked but quickly recovered. "N-No! Of course not! I mean... it's fine. Totally fine."

Ruby tilted her head, confused. "Why would he be nervous? We're teammates!"

Yang just grinned mischievously. "Oh, no reason. I'm sure Oscar will be perfectly fine sharing space with us. Right, Oscar?"

Oscar nodded stiffly, trying not to let his panic show. "Yep. Perfectly fine."

As the team began unpacking and setting up their space, Oscar silently vowed to master his stealth skills even further. He was going to need them.

Ruby then looked at his team as she spoke. "Ok as the first thing as Team leader let's get the room ready".

Oscar looked at Ruby as he srugged, hoping this will help. "Sure, I am on board".

Weiss rolled her eyes, her high class up bringing showing. "Don't we have people for that"

Blake just srugged, she rather read a book then do this, but she on board or will it looked like it was heard to tell what the black hair girl wanted to do.

Yang then spoke, she was on board. "Yeah let's do team building an everything".

After that, they started to do, Ruby accidentally cut a curtent with her scythe, which she said oops to, the desk was moved and Oscar bed was moved to the middle, which if he remembers Both Yang and Ruby sleeps on the lower bunks and he was in the middle.

Will let's just say the mental screaming came back once again, after a while it was all done the room was made everyone put the weapons again, and the room was decorated to there liking.

As the team finished setting up their dorm, Oscar couldn't help but glance at his bed in the middle of the room. Surrounded by the bunk beds on either side, the realization hit him once more—he was going to be sleeping right in the middle of all the chaos.

"This is going to be a long year, he thought, suppressing another wave of mental screaming".

Ruby clapped her hands together, grinning. "Alright, team! Great job! The room looks awesome!" She gestured to the now-decorated dorm, which was a blend of everyone's personal tastes.

One side was decked out with Ruby's Crescent Rose posters and Yang's gym gear, while the other had Blake's books neatly stacked on shelves and Weiss's elegant decorations meticulously placed. Oscar's area was... minimalist.

Yang plopped onto her bed and grinned. "This is so cozy! I call it now—Oscar's bed is totally the easiest to prank!"

Oscar raised an eyebrow. "You wouldn't dare."

Yang gave him a mock-innocent look. "Oh, wouldn't I?"

Ruby laughed nervously. "Uh, Yang, maybe let's not prank our teammate? We're supposed to be bonding."

Blake, without looking up from her book, added, "Bonding through pranks is still bonding."

Weiss sighed dramatically. "Must we resort to such childish antics? This is a place of learning and refinement."

Yang leaned back, smirking. "Oh, lighten up, Ice Queen. You might even have fun."

Oscar decided it was best to steer the conversation elsewhere before things escalated. "Well, now that the room's set up, what's next on the leader's agenda, Ruby?"

Ruby brightened at the question. "Hmm, good point! How about... a team dinner? We can cook something together in our kitchen!"

Weiss frowned. "Cook? Surely there's a cafeteria for that."

Yang stretched and grinned. "Come on, Weiss. Team bonding, remember?"

Blake glanced up. "I'm fine with it as long as I don't have to cook."

Oscar sighed. "I'll handle the cooking. Just... don't let Ruby near the stove."

"Hey!" Ruby protested, pouting.

Yang laughed. "Smart man, Oscar. Alright, let's see what you've got!"

As the team rallied behind the idea, Oscar silently prayed that this dinner wouldn't turn into another chaotic disaster.

Oscar entered the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves as he started rummaging through the cabinets for ingredients. As he worked, he couldn't help but wonder if the system would reward him for his efforts.

"Cooking should technically count as a charisma boost, right? he thought. After all, in plenty of games, cooking for others was a way to gain favor—or at least earn a few bonus points in some obscure stat".

He glanced at the system interface, hoping for some kind of notification. Come on, system. Give me a sign here.

But it stayed silent, which only made him more determined. "Alright, time to channel every cooking sim I've ever played," he muttered under his breath.

As he started chopping vegetables and heating up a pan, he tried to think of ways to maximize the system's potential. Reading gave him intelligence points, fixing things boosted other stats, so maybe cooking would unlock something unexpected.

"Maybe it'll say something like, 'Host has gained +1 Charisma for feeding the hungry,'" he joked to himself, flipping a slice of meat onto the sizzling pan.

Behind him, Ruby peeked into the kitchen, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Wow, Oscar! You're actually cooking? I thought you'd just throw together sandwiches or something!"

Oscar glanced over his shoulder. "Well, someone has to make sure we don't burn the place down. And I trust myself more than I trust anyone else here with a stove."

Ruby pouted. "Hey, I'm not that bad!"

Oscar smirked. "Ruby, you almost cut a curtain in half while decorating."

Ruby huffed but didn't deny it, instead watching as Oscar expertly moved between the stove and the counter. "You're pretty good at this," she admitted.

Just as she said that, the familiar Ding! sound he was waiting for finally echoed in his mind.

[System Notification: Host has gained +1 Charisma for successfully engaging in team-building cooking. Current Charisma: 12.]

Oscar froze for a second, grinning internally. Called it.

Yang leaned against the kitchen doorframe, watching the exchange. "So, what's for dinner, Chef Pine?"

"Something simple but good," Oscar replied confidently. "You'll just have to wait and see."

As he continued cooking, he couldn't help but feel a small surge of satisfaction. The system was unpredictable, sure, but moments like this reminded him that he was figuring it out—bit by bit.

As Oscar plated the food, the smell began to waft through the room, drawing the rest of the team into the kitchen. Weiss arrived next, her arms crossed but clearly curious.

"You made all of this?" Weiss asked, raising an eyebrow at the neatly arranged dishes on the counter.

"Yep," Oscar said, wiping his hands on a towel. "I figured we'd celebrate our first day as Team ROWBY with something special."

Blake entered quietly, her amber eyes widening slightly at the sight of the food. "It looks... nice," she said, her reserved tone unable to hide her genuine surprise.

Yang grabbed a chair and sat at the table, giving Oscar a grin. "Wow, Oscar, if this whole Huntsman thing doesn't work out, you could open a restaurant!"

Oscar chuckled. "Let's hope I don't have to. Now, sit down. Everyone gets an equal share."

Ruby, already seated, couldn't contain her excitement. "This smells so good! What is it?"

"It's nothing fancy," Oscar said as he started serving. "Grilled chicken, sautéed vegetables, and some mashed potatoes. I figured it was better to stick to something safe."

Yang nudged Ruby. "See, Ruby? That's how you use a kitchen properly."

Ruby pouted. "I can cook! I just... need practice."

Weiss looked skeptical but took a bite anyway. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly covered it up with a sip of water. "It's... acceptable," she said, though the empty plate a few minutes later told a different story.

Blake, who had been quietly eating, gave a small nod. "It's good."

Yang gave Oscar a thumbs-up. "Not bad at all, Chef Pine. I'd say you earned those Charisma points."

Oscar froze. "Wait, what?"

Yang smirked. "I heard you muttering earlier about the system. Something about Charisma points, right?"

Oscar's eyes narrowed. "You were eavesdropping?"

"Hard not to when you're talking to yourself in the kitchen," Yang said with a wink. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me."

Oscar sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Great. Just what I need—Yang knowing about the system."

Ruby leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "What's this about a system?"

Before Oscar could respond, the system chimed in again.

[System Notification: Host has earned +2 Team Synergy Points for successful bonding activity. Current Team Synergy: 5.]

Oscar groaned internally. Great, now it's keeping track of team dynamics too.

Yang leaned back in her chair, clearly amused by the whole situation. "Looks like the system approves. Guess you're stuck being the team's cook now, Oscar."

Oscar shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. "If it keeps everyone happy, I don't mind."

Ruby clapped her hands together. "Alright, team! First day down, first meal shared—we're off to a great start!"

Weiss sighed but didn't argue, Blake returned to her book, and Yang gave Oscar another grin. Despite the chaos, Oscar couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. This was only the beginning, but it felt like they were already starting to come together as a team.
