Oscar rubbed his eyes as he sat up, the cold stone of the dungeon floor still hard beneath him. He glanced around, taking in the aftermath of his battle with the Batwing Leviathan. The fire had died down, leaving only smoldering remains of the creature. His victory felt distant, the exhaustion from the fight still weighing on him.
With a tired sigh, he opened his system window. The notification about his new subclass caught his attention, and he smiled faintly. The Cleric Subclass unlocked. That was a good sign. His mind immediately began racing through the potential of the new skills he could acquire.
"Healing Hand," he muttered to himself as he selected the skill. A wave of energy pulsed through him, settling in his hands as they glowed faintly with divine energy. This was a healing spell, something that could help him and others recover faster from wounds—especially crucial after a fight like the one he'd just endured.
He still had a few points left, but with the toll the battle had taken on his body, he knew he needed to sleep and recover before making any other decisions. The last thing he needed right now was to push himself further without giving his body the time to heal.
Oscar looked up at the dungeon gate. It was still open, the ethereal blue light flickering like a silent invitation to move forward. But right now, he had to ignore it. His body felt like it had been through a meat grinder, and there was no way he'd survive another fight like that unless he got proper rest.
"Alright, time to get some sleep," he muttered, his voice rough from exhaustion. The dungeon wasn't the most comfortable place to rest, but it would have to do. He lay back on the stone floor, wincing as his sore muscles protested. His hand gripped the sword by his side, but as his eyes closed, the tension in his body slowly began to fade.
The system's gentle hum in the back of his mind was the last thing he heard before sleep overtook him.
Hours later, Oscar awoke to the soothing sensation of the Poison Resistance skill pulsing through him again, restoring his HP. The sleep had worked wonders; his energy was returning, and the battle fatigue had subsided somewhat.
[HP: 50% → 75%]
He sat up slowly, stretching as he tested his limbs. His muscles were still sore, but the healing had done its job. The dungeon remained quiet, save for the faint echo of water dripping from somewhere deep within.
Oscar stood, checking his system again.
[Skill Tree]
Cleric Subclass:
Healing Hand: Level 1
Healing Touch: (Unlocked after 5 more points)
Revival: (Unlocked after 10 more points)
He could feel the temptation to spend his points immediately, but he knew better than to rush into things. If he wanted to survive, he'd need to pace himself and plan his skill upgrades wisely.
"More points would be nice, but I'll have to earn them the hard way," he muttered to himself.
His thoughts turned back to the dungeon gate. The blue portal still hovered there, waiting for him to venture deeper. He wasn't sure if he was truly ready for the next floor or challenge, but something told him that this was only the beginning of the trials ahead.
With one last glance at the dungeon's dark corners, Oscar took a deep breath and stepped forward, gathering his strength. It was time to move forward, and with each step, he was getting closer to mastering the skills that would keep him alive.
But before diving into whatever awaited him, Oscar knew he needed to plan carefully. After all, every choice counted in a world this dangerous.
He glanced at the gate one more time, determination rising in his chest. "Time to level up."
And with that, he prepared himself to face the unknown challenges ahead.
Oscar may have killed the boss, but the was a lot more monster, after a lot of monsters killing her let him self out of the Dungeon, as the gate turned purple and closed, even after all the Monster killed there he only leve up by one level, so now he was only Level 21
Oscar then sneaked his way back to his house, he then went on his bed and went o sleep got a quick nap as he opens his eyes
Oscar stretched out on his bed, letting the comfort of his familiar surroundings soothe his weary body. The dungeon had been a brutal experience, and though he had survived, the exhaustion from it all had drained him. He had hoped to gain more levels, especially after the sheer number of monsters he had faced, but the system had only granted him a single level-up. It was a stark reminder that leveling up in this world wasn't as easy as it seemed.
"Level 21... huh," he muttered to himself, the low hum of the system echoing in his mind. "I guess I'll need to be more strategic about how I approach this."
Oscar tried to shake off the frustration, reminding himself that there was always room to grow. The grind was part of it, and each battle—no matter how difficult—was a step closer to the power he needed to survive this world.
As he lay back down, his mind wandered to the Cleric Subclass and the new abilities he had unlocked. With the Healing Hand skill and the potential to unlock stronger healing abilities, he knew that his survivability had increased. But he still needed more. More strength, more skills, more strategies.
His thoughts were interrupted by the soft chime of the system.
Ding!
[ Host has rested on his own bed. All negative stat effects have been healed. HP has been fully restored, and so have any and all injuries the host has gotten. All tiredness has been healed. ]
Oscar let out a deep sigh of relief, running a hand through his messy hair. "I'm very thankful for this feature."
Not having to worry about lingering injuries or exhaustion was a blessing. But he knew he couldn't rely on that forever. The next time he entered a dungeon or faced an enemy, the stakes would be higher. The monsters were relentless, and each fight left him with more questions than answers about this world.
Still, it was a nice feeling to know that his body had fully recovered. As his thoughts began to settle, Oscar closed his eyes and allowed the quiet of the room to lull him into a light nap. His mind raced with plans for the future, but for now, sleep was the best thing he could do.
When he opened his eyes again, he felt a bit more refreshed. He was ready to take on whatever came next—no matter how difficult it might be.
Oscar got up from his bed, stretching again and looking out the window at the peaceful scenery outside. He still had a lot to learn, and this world was full of surprises. But with the system by his side, there was a sense of hope. He wasn't just surviving—he was becoming stronger.
His eyes flickered to the Dungeon Key he had left on his nightstand. The next dungeon wouldn't be easy, but he was going to face it head-on. There was no turning back now.
"Let's see what this world has to offer next," he muttered under his breath, a determined smile forming on his face.
Oscar opened his system interface and spoke aloud, "Okay, current status please."
The screen lit up with various stats and updates.

Oscar looked over the information, nodding slightly to himself. His Intelligence and Agility had seen a nice increase, but his Strength still needed more work. It was clear that his next goal should be increasing his combat potential—both through his abilities and his raw power.
"Okay," he muttered, closing the system, "Time to work on leveling up some of these skills."
Oscar then noticed the Poseidon skill. "Will that new, when did I get this one"
[ It is a reward from Killing the Batwing Leviathan, as well as unlocking the Clarice sub Class, even if your chosen path is the Path of the monster and your main Class is Hybrid ]
Oscar blinked, surprised by the new skill.
"Poseidon's Blessing, huh?" he muttered to himself, looking over the details once again. He wasn't sure how he had gained it, but it was clear that killing the Batwing Leviathan had rewarded him with something useful.
[Poseidon's Blessing - Level 1]
Increased water resistance and healing over time when submerged in water. Reduces damage taken from water-based attacks. Enhances swimming and underwater breathing.
"That could come in handy," Oscar thought. "Though, I don't remember seeing anything related to water in that dungeon..." His thoughts wandered for a moment as he pieced together the fight. The Batwing Leviathan had been an air-based creature, so it didn't make sense why he'd be getting a water-related skill from it.
He activated his system again, looking at the newly unlocked subclass.
[Clarice Subclass - Cleric]
A support subclass with a focus on healing magic, buffing allies, and controlling the flow of mana. You may choose to specialize in defensive or offensive magic within this subclass.
Oscar raised an eyebrow, surprised by the subclass being offered. It was not what he expected given his earlier battle experience.
"So even if I'm a Hybrid class, I can have access to more options," Oscar mused. "A cleric subclass could make me a pretty solid support fighter."
He leaned back, his mind starting to spin with the possibilities. A hybrid class—blending combat with magic—was an exciting, but complicated choice. He'd need to balance his growth between improving his fighting skills and further developing his magical abilities.
"Well, let's see what comes next," Oscar muttered, stretching his arms. "I need to test all of this out."
He looked out of the window, deciding to head back into the wild and see if he could get a bit of practice in before the next big challenge arrived. With a new subclass and skill to explore, Oscar had plenty of work ahead. But for now, he was ready to take the next step forward.
In a different place Qrow leaned back in his chair, swirling the bottle in his hand as his red eyes stared at the file in front of him. The documents were filled with reports of strange sightings—mostly vague descriptions of a shadow darting around the woods at night. The shadow was too small to be an adult, which ruled out most potential threats, but it was definitely not a Grimm. The reports also mentioned it being seen around the time of the recent fire, which had been a bit too coincidental for his liking.
"Whoever you are," Qrow muttered under his breath, "you're making this harder than it needs to be."
He rubbed his forehead, trying to make sense of the puzzle. There wasn't enough solid evidence to conclude what or who it was, but the frequency of sightings was too high for it to be a coincidence. Qrow's instincts were telling him that this was something important, something connected to the fire and the strange occurrences that had been cropping up ever since.
And now, with only ten days left to find the source, Qrow felt the pressure mounting. Ozpin had tasked him with finding whoever—or whatever—was responsible for the recent disturbances, and the clock was ticking.
Taking another swig from the bottle, Qrow sighed. "Guess I'll have to dig a little deeper."
He glanced at the clock on the wall and then stood up, stretching his sore muscles. With the sun setting, it was the perfect time to head out into the woods again and see if he could get more answers.
Qrow adjusted the cloak around his shoulders, pulling it tighter as he prepared to leave. He'd need to be extra cautious, as there was no telling whether the shadow was friendly, neutral, or something far more dangerous.
One thing was for sure—whoever, or whatever, this was, it wouldn't remain hidden for much longer. Qrow had a knack for finding trouble, and this time, trouble was hiding just a little too close to home.
