Bab 253: Chapter 252 Not enough yet

Very soon, something felt wrong. Zack tried to gauge their presence, but there was nothing, no malice, no life force, no sense of danger that usually accompanied enemies. It was as if they weren't truly there, despite their threatening appearance. 

The silence in the air deepened, amplifying the eerie feeling that something was off. These weren't ordinary foes. They were different, unnatural in a way he couldn't quite place. Zack's instincts screamed that this was part of the trap, a carefully crafted puzzle meant to disorient and test him, but he couldn't pinpoint its exact nature. His mind raced, knowing that any misstep could spring whatever trick lay in wait.

"No presences… so perhaps no magic," Zack thought while rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I guess the enemy is planning for that."
