Bab 79: A Night Of Possibilities

Damien's POV:

After Lorraine left, I went to take a bath and just laid down on my bed. I never thought it possible that I could ever have a chance at happiness. A Second Chance Mate! It was a myth until now. Second Chance mates hadn't been heard of in a very long time.

I only hope that she accepts me. I would make sure of that. I would do anything to have her by my side. Since I had found her, I would never let her go.

I slept off while thinking about this. Even in dreams, the only thing I could picture was her face. The attraction felt stronger than the one I had with my first mate. Maybe it was because I was lonely and my heart yearned for love.

I thought I had loved Lyra but maybe I just used her to feel the space I had in my heart. I won't abandon our mission though. I am a man of my word and I would ensure that we get the purple moonflower we came for and return safely.
