"What's this?" I inquired as I looked at the paper Miss Jeanne had just handed me. She was smiling as she gave it to me, and I didn't think her smile meant anything bad, so I accepted the paper without much concern.

However, after just a slight glance, I realized what the content of the paper was... and it left me shocked to the core of my soul.

It was none other than a bill for the equipment I had just received.

I was shocked beyond belief. My eyes popped wide open, and if not for my GBS mask, my mouth would have dropped to the concrete flooring of the Clothing Section of the Grunt Armory.

"This is the invoice for your new gear, my dear large grunt," Miss Jeanne clarified, confirming the existence of the paper I was clutching. However, she didn't seem to understand why I was in a state of shock over seeing the bill paper—more precisely, the invoice paper—she had just given me.

After all, the number I saw was quite jaw-dropping.
