Bab 53: (Non) Cannon Fodders

The arena fell into a clamoring uproar as the crowd reacted to the unexpected turn of events in the makeshift arena ring. Confusion was evident on many faces as they processed the sudden halt in the duel.

Some were visibly upset, feeling robbed of their source of entertainment, while a small few took pity on the weeping No. 711...

However, the majority were angry that their arena duel betting had been stopped at its climax.

"Hey, why are you two stopping?! Go back to your dueling, idiots!" a disgruntled grunt shouted from the crowd. His protest sparked a multitude of spectator grunts who were also dissatisfied with the duel's interruption.

"Yeah! Go back to dueling!"

"It was so close and you fuckers interrupted it!"

"Get out, you damn newbies!"
