Bab 43: The Missing Grunt Buddy Conspiracy

"A wall with a giant humanoid hole? I don't recall seeing anything like that."

Grunt No. 727 stated bluntly to her three fellow grunts. Her statement cut through the air between them with a sharpness that left the three grunts momentarily speechless.

Her blunt assertion was met with stunned silence from the three of them... until they could only mutter a single word out of their confusion, surprise, and shock.

"Huh?" all three grunts muttered in unison as if their thoughts had just synced for a brief moment.

"Hmm? What's the matter?" No. 727 herself was taken aback by their surprised reaction. She had not anticipated her statement to be so bewildering for her fellow grunts. "Pray tell, what are these 'wall' and 'humanoid-shaped hole' that you three speak of?" Her voice carried a tone of genuine curiosity tinged with a hint of skepticism.
