The car screeches to a halt when we get to Mortus clinic. I'm too impatient to wait for the elevator so I take the stairs, two at a time.

Miles hurries fast behind me as we run past the bewildered patients who I'm certain wonder what the fuss is all about but that isn't my concern right now. The ones who know me don't wait until I get to them to pave the way. A bile rises at the back of my throat as I push the said doctor's door open and glance around.,

"Tyler?" I ease inside, not even bothering to close the door behind me. A tall skinny omega turns his attention to me, bewildered just as the patient he is attending to. The examination room looks unkempt. It looks just as I thought, except Tyler isn't inside.
