"What are you doing?" I glance at him bewildered a I try to pull away from him.

"Uhm…I'm not sure." His jaw hardens as his thick lashes flutter against his cheeks. "Does it kick yet?"

"No… not yet." His warm hand caresses my belly and I shiver. "I haven't felt anything move yet."

He flicks his gaze to mine. "When do they begin to kick?"

I swallow thickly, noticing how his iris stands out in his beautiful eyes and the stubborn strands that fall on his face. If not for his shitty attitude, his nonchalance and selfishness, he's truly the most breathtaking alpha I've seen. It's hard to concentrate with him looking at me like this. "I'm…I'm not sure."

"Don't tell me you haven't looked into that yet. You haven't looked for the stages of pregnancy?"

"No," I shake my head.

"Maybe it's easier to stay disconnected when you don't look into any of that stuff." He mumbles.

I grimace. "Yes."
