Rory pov

He refused to budge when I tried exiting the kitchen and I silently cussed him out in my head. I sucked in a deep breath and wore a smile on.

"What do you want, Trevor?" I asked, voice pitched low because Raya was still in her child's bedroom and I wouldn't like her to come out here and witness me standing this close to her husband. She'd undoubtedly assume the worse, and that's something I really couldn't afford.

"You're so gorgeous. Do you know that?" He whispered and for the first time, he openly raked his eyes over my body from head to toe.

I felt disgust flood every inch of my insides almost immediately.

To think I had believed that he wasn't like other alphas, only for him to go ahead and prove me wrong.

I took in a deep breath again before speaking.
