Bab 146: A Rising Star

The hospital room was quiet, save for the occasional beep from the monitors tracking Jaemin's vitals. The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft, golden glow across the room.

Jaemin lay on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, his mind still reeling from the events of the last few days. His body was sore, wrapped in bandages, but the worst of his injuries had already been healed—thanks to Seung's clone.

It was strange. He had always imagined himself on a hospital bed after a major fight, but never like this. He'd never expected to survive, much less win any recognition. For quite a long, he had felt like the weakest link in the Special Team, barely able to keep up with the others, always overshadowed by the likes of his colleagues and friends. But now... now things were different. He had been brave, and people definitely noticed.

He won't have been put in the special hospital room of the HQ if it's otherwise.
