A circular portal materialized on the wall, cyan glitters swirling around its circumference. The view through it was dark and impenetrable. The man turned to Seung, his mouth slightly open in awe.
"Dude, you were right! How did you figure that out so quickly?" His astonishment was evident; even he, a self-proclaimed genius scientist, couldn't decipher the portal's rules.
Seung grinned, tapping his temple with a finger. "Just some logical thinking. Nothing special." His grin was broad, his eyes narrowing slightly with satisfaction.
The two of them stepped through the portal.

'Where the hell are we? No moon, and it's pitch black… This isn't Earth… and it can't be the afterlife either.'
As Seung opened his eyes, he realized they were in a completely different place. His eyes scanned the sky and the surroundings, and his shoulders tensed.
