Eve wasn't taken aback by Lucius's query. She had suspected that he was discreetly winning over the nobility for his cause. Nevertheless, the mention of the Blood Cocktail piqued her interest, and she braced herself for a captivating conversation.

"The Blood Cocktail?" Henrik's eyebrows knitted in confusion. "Are you referring to the concoction that's been the subject of whispers in the black market?"

Eve couldn't help but silently commend Henrik's genuinely astonished look.

Lucius's face lit up with pride as he elaborated, "The Blood Cocktail is an audacious initiative I've embarked on. Envision a scenario where vampires can thrive without preying on humans for nourishment. It could greatly enhance relations and foster harmony between our species."

Yet Henrik's skepticism didn't wane. "You're seriously pursuing this? How is that even feasible? Are you collaborating with sorcerers?" His visage soured at the thought.
