What should be his next course of action. He just seems to be bored and there's nothing for him to do.

Well except if he decused to write the plots, ideas and stuffs like that about the novel he would soon be writing.

And perhaps he would also create a daily training routine of sort.

Anything that could help alleviate the future foreseen boredom would be just fine.
