Bab 13: Missing the Boat on Fugaku Heated Departure...
Uchiha Fugaku looked at Shimura Danzo angrily and questioned, "Third Hokage, what do you mean by 'evil Uchiha'? We came here to support your return! Why did we hear you scheming against our Uchiha clan as soon as we arrived?"
Uchiha Tetsuka was a staunch fan of the Uchiha clan, so he was the first to be persuaded by Uchiha Toki's revival plan. Uchiha Yashiro was Uchiha Fugaku's right-hand man, while Uchiha Itachi remained neutral.
Now, Uchiha Fugaku, accompanied by Uchiha Yashiro and Uchiha Itachi, came to support Hiruzen Sarutobi in restoring peace to Konoha. The three high-ranking ninjas held more influence than Uchiha Toki's two followers.
Seeing Uchiha Toki leaving the room laughing, Uchiha Fugaku was still puzzled. However, upon entering, he heard Shimura Danzo openly insulting the Uchiha clan. Naturally, he had to speak up.
The expressions of the other ninjas in the room were strange as they looked at Uchiha Fugaku. He was the first clan leader to be impeached. Clan leaders usually commanded absolute authority within their clans, not only because of their status but also because of their bloodline.
Except for the Uchiha clan, most ninja clans had a distinction between main and branch families. The Hyuga clan, in particular, had the strongest division, while the Uchiha clan had no such distinction. There was no difference in blood purity among them, and the position of clan leader was naturally obtained through strength and reputation. Now that he had been impeached, he became the laughingstock of the village's clan leaders.
Seeing him unable to keep up, they almost couldn't suppress their laughter.
Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was on the other side, completely ignored this disgraced fool. He suppressed the urge to ridicule him and smiled at Fugaku, saying, "It was a slip of the tongue by Danzo. Hiruzen Sarutobi waved his hand impatiently, "Fugaku, go back first. Figure out the situation within your clan before speaking." With that, he suppressed his anger and left. Shimura Danzo coldly snorted, glared at Uchiha Fugaku and the others, and followed him out of the office.
Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado looked at each other in confusion and hurriedly left. Uchiha Shisui, who was originally neutral, was burning with anger. "Fugaku, is this your idea of peace? You're going too far! If he returns, will there be any good days left for our Uchiha clan?"
"I'm leaving. Think it over yourself, Clan Leader," he said angrily.
Uchiha Yashiro wanted to reach out and help Fugaku explain, but he was just as puzzled. "Clan Leader, I'll leave too."
Uchiha Fugaku looked around the empty meeting room, filled with question marks on his face. What on earth had happened? How did they all act like they'd seen a ghost?
Meanwhile, Uchiha Tetsuka was excitedly listening to Uchiha Toki's non-stop chatter. "Lord Toki, this is amazing! Our Uchiha clan hasn't had such a sense of pride in a long time. We've been ordered to respect the Hokage and the village all the time. Who has ever respected our Uchiha clan?"
"Patrolling all the time, maintaining peace in Konoha, not only did it not improve, but complaints were everywhere."
"I've been wanting to curse those old farts for a long time. Was what you said about the Third retiring true? I thought he retired because of self-blame."
Toki waved his hand with a smile, "Rest assured, now that I am clan leader, I will never let our clan suffer again."
"Any unfair treatment, push back! Don't be afraid! Let those trash understand that our Uchiha clan is not to be trifled with."
"Of course, this is only for the ninjas. Remind the team members to enforce the law civilly when dealing with civilians."
"Fill the village with suggestion boxes. If anyone feels that the law enforcement is unfair, let them report it freely. Once verified, reward them with 100,000 ryou!"
"Tell our clan members that if they don't want strict law enforcement, then we will enforce the law civilly. In the future, whenever there's a fight or violence in Konoha, as long as they don't kill, the guard should not intervene."
"Even if someone is close to death, let them just stop it, and don't interfere otherwise. Let them go to the Hokage or the Anbu for help."
