Bab 106: The Awakening of the Asura

Adall was panting, his breath becoming shorter and shorter as a throbbing pain consumed his entire body. After all, he had just been struck by the first four lances produced by the spell [Eternal Grudge], and the last three were already only a few meters away from the immobile figure he had become.

As he knelt, vomiting blood and wearing an expression that showed he was suffering torment, his skin, however, showed no scratches, let alone the deep gashes that a lance embedded in a body might leave. This was because the manifestations of Eternal Grudge did not target the flesh but the soul.

He realized this when his living clone, far from the battlefield, began experiencing the same pain as him when the third dark lance struck. With the fourth, the clone, which housed only a fragment of Adall's soul, could no longer withstand the damage it was receiving and dissipated under the frightened gaze of a certain she-wolf.
