Thinking of this, she couldn't help but reveal a smile. Not only was she happy for Brock, but she was even more delighted to have made the acquaintance of a gentleman like Xu Ran.
Xu Ran was that kind of upright man who would return evil with kindness even for those unrelated to him. Such excellent character, even in her young and innocent years, she might not have been able to match.
Now she fully understood why there were always so many women willing to stay by Xu Ran's side. They must have all been influenced by his qualities.

To cultivate the image he wanted in Bi Bidong's heart, he decided to say some words against his true feelings.

What comforted Bi Bidong the most, though, were those shining points of humanity in Xu Ran. He was noble; Brock had just insulted him, and yet now he had forgiven Brock and even gave him this generous gift.
"Xu Ran, these elixirs are extraordinary, aren't they?" Bi Bidong said, looking down at the elixirs in her hand, sensing the robust power within, like an ocean's surging force. These weren't just enticing for Brock, but even someone as strong as herself found them appealing.
The things Xu Ran brought out were always exceptional, and these elixirs were no different.
"Green is the color of life. These elixirs contain an abundance of life force and can help Brock repair the deficiencies in his body."
"After realizing how much you cared about Brock's situation, I regretted attacking him. To make up for it and to make you happy, I used my carefully concocted elixirs. My blood contains tremendous life-force and can heal Brock's injuries the fastest." Xu Ran's lips curled up; he might not excel in many things, but he was still very impressive when it came to making things up.
"What? Why would you do that? Damage to your blood essence will affect your cultivation too." Bi Bidong's face changed drastically, looking at Xu Ran as if her soul had left her.
Xu Ran's gaze was sincere; at that moment, he appeared as innocent as a blank sheet of paper, and Bi Bidong believed every word he said.
Xu Ran saw Brock as an enemy, otherwise, he wouldn't have bullied Brock like that. Yet, just because of her few words, Xu Ran would rather hurt himself than heal Brock. What did that suggest?
Xu Ran was truly sincere toward her; it was definitely not just a fling. But what had she done for Xu Ran?
Back in Tiandou City, she had been scheming against Xu Ran, worried that he wouldn't keep his promise, she even set various conditions. But Xu Ran didn't care about these at all and even went the extra mile for Brock's sake.
"Brock's physical constitution is too weak; his body can't withstand the energy brought by the infusion of the Martial Soul. So, his physical constitution must be enhanced, and Brock's condition probably can't withstand the energy from ordinary elixirs. Only my blood essence alchemy can solve this issue," Xu Ran said casually. In order to win Bi Bidong's heart, he boasted extravagantly.

It even moved him.
"Why didn't you say so earlier? If I had known it would harm your body, I wouldn't have treated you that way," said Bi Bidong, with a layer of mist forming in her eyes.
She had never seen someone as foolish as Xu Ran.
If she hadn't asked, would Xu Ran have kept all this to himself forever?
Bi Bidong tightly pursed her lips, her tears spinning before she forcefully choked them back. She didn't want Xu Ran to see her crying. Xu Ran was indeed wonderful, it was just a pity that the distance between them was too great.
They were people from two different worlds.
"It's okay, I'm so strong that this is a trifle to me."
"Besides, all I want is for you to be happy. If it means you could be joyful every day, what's my life worth anyway?"
Xu Ran shook his head, reached out, and wiped away the tears from Bi Bidong's eyes. He, Xu Ran, had always been a person of noble qualities, capable of performing acts like lying on ice for fish or providing warmth with fragrant pillows if he could.
