Crocodile pondered briefly before speaking, "I can agree to your demands, but I can't produce those items immediately."
"Give me a month, and you can come to Alubarna to collect them."
Crocodile's tone made it clear that he was confident in taking over the Alabasta Kingdom within a month.
Byakuya replied, "You're asking me to withdraw now without giving me anything upfront. That doesn't seem fair, does it?"
Crocodile hadn't intended to deceive the mysterious man, knowing that without finding Pluton, he didn't have the means to confront him directly.
However, Byakuya had a point—expecting them to withdraw without immediate compensation wasn't realistic.
Without hesitation, Crocodile said, "I can first pay you eight billion Berries. You can collect the rest later."
Soon after, Daz Bonez returned to the casino and brought back eight billion Berries, placing them in front of Byakuya.
Without even glancing at the money, Byakuya stored it in his system space and continued,
"Good. If you tell me everything you've been doing in Alabasta, we will withdraw immediately and not interfere in any of your affairs again."
Vivi felt a wave of despair wash over her as Byakuya finished speaking. Tears streamed down her face as her legs gave out, unable to support her any longer.
Just as she was about to collapse, Byakuya caught her, preventing her from falling.
Confused, Vivi suddenly felt something being slipped into her hand. She discreetly opened the note and saw three words: "Trust me."
After reading the note, Vivi looked at Byakuya with confusion and hope. What was going on?
But recalling everything Byakuya had done since they met, she trusted him.
She leaned against Byakuya, silent and resolute, just as she had when she agreed with him. It was her only choice.
Crocodile observed this scene without much thought. After all, Vivi was indeed incredibly beautiful.
As a princess of a great kingdom, it wasn't surprising that someone as powerful as the mysterious man might be attracted to her.
At worst, Crocodile thought he could spare her life after taking over the Alabasta Kingdom if that would keep the mysterious man from interfering.
Crocodile revealed all his actions in Alabasta to ensure the mysterious man would leave.
However, he framed it as a plan to become the king of Alabasta without mentioning anything about Pluton.
For Byakuya, this was more than enough.
When Crocodile finished speaking and was about to ask Byakuya to leave, he suddenly saw Byakuya pull out a Visual Den Den Mushi from his sleeve.
It seemed that everything Crocodile had just said had been recorded. Shocked and furious, Crocodile demanded, "What do you mean by this?"
He knew full well that if this recording were to spread, his status as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea would be revoked immediately.
The mysterious man aimed the Den Den Mushi at Crocodile and said calmly,
"So this is what the Warlords of the Sea have become? To think the Marines consider the Warlords one of the three great powers."
"It seems the Marines are just as rotten. Today, the 'Night' organization will eliminate Crocodile and restore peace to Alabasta."
After speaking, Byakuya shut off the Den Den Mushi and tucked it away. At this point, Crocodile finally realized that the mysterious man had played him.
Byakuya immediately ordered, "Attack!"
Despite Byakuya's earlier display of power that had intimidated many, the long-standing authority of Crocodile drove the group to launch a deadly assault on Byakuya and his companions.
Byakuya handed Vivi over to Pell, saying, "Take Vivi into the sky and get as far away from here as possible."
Pell nodded resolutely, transforming into his falcon form and allowing Vivi to sit on his back.
With a worried expression, Vivi said, "Please be careful."
Byakuya wiped away the remaining tears from Vivi's face and smiled, "Don't worry. Crocodile is nothing I can't handle."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a massive fist of sand hurtled toward him from behind.
"I'm a Warlord of the Sea! Are you underestimating me?" Crocodile's angry voice echoed from behind.
Without turning his head, Byakuya extended one hand behind him, and a faint red Armament Haki surged out, forming a curved protective shield.
The sand fist collided with the shield but was instantly shattered, unable to make even a dent.
"What incredible Armament, Haki!" Crocodile thought, startled.
Once Pell had taken Vivi away, Byakuya turned and said calmly, "If I call you trash, you better believe it because in front of me, that's exactly what you are."
"A coward who hides after losing a battle and thinking that a shortcut can rule the world. What a stupid guy."
Byakuya said with a sneer. Even with the help of the system, Byakuya did not believe he could conquer this world.
"You—" Crocodile began to retort, but before he could finish, Byakuya suddenly appeared.
A huge fist rapidly filled Crocodile's vision, moving so fast that he had no time to react. A deep sense of dread gripped Crocodile's heart.
"This is it. I'm going to die!" was the last thought that flashed through Crocodile's mind.
Byakuya's punch exploded Crocodile's head into countless grains of sand.
However, a few seconds later, the sand on the ground reformed into a head and returned to Crocodile's body.
"I'm still alive?" Crocodile muttered in disbelief. "Of course, you're not dead," Byakuya said coolly. "I didn't use Armament Haki just now."
"What do you mean by that?" Crocodile wondered if this man had decided not to kill him.
Before he could think further, his body was blown apart into yellow sand again.
Byakuya paused after the attack, allowing Crocodile to reform his body.
When Crocodile's body was fully reformed, Byakuya shattered him with another punch.
It was then that Crocodile realized what the mysterious man was doing.
Although Byakuya wasn't using Armament Haki and thus couldn't inflict lasting harm, each time Crocodile's body was shattered, the pain he experienced was all too real.
Every time he reformed, it felt like he was dying again, creating an endless cycle of mental torment.
The agony was relentless and intensified with each cycle.
After countless blows (99+), Crocodile's ability to reform his body slowed dramatically, and his mind grew foggy.
Taking advantage of the brief pause before Byakuya's next attack, Crocodile, now in deep pain, asked,
"What kind of grudge do we have that you feel the need to torment me endlessly?"
Byakuya responded coldly, "You have no idea how many storms I had to face just to get here and kill you!"

"???" Crocodile was bewildered. 'You're blaming me for the hardships you endured on your journey to kill me?'
As Crocodile was lost in confusion, he was blown apart into a cloud of sand once more.
'Fine, I give up!' Crocodile, a ruthless man, chose not to use his Devil Fruit powers, allowing Byakuya to land a fatal blow.
When Byakuya saw the bloody mist before him, he was momentarily stunned. Huh, did he just die like that?
