Whiskey Peak is a small island formed by the convergence of four hills.
In the center of the island stands a small tavern, brightly lit and filled with the sounds of laughter and revelry.
Inside, a burly man raised his glass and downed its contents in one gulp, speaking heartily, "I tell you, we welcome pirates like you who chase their dreams."
"Whatever you want to eat, just let me know. We have a chef who will cook it for you!"
The pirates, who were initially skeptical of the man's hospitality, soon felt joyous.
Typically, island residents shunned pirates, but here, they were warmly welcomed, offered good food and drink, and even treated to a bonfire party where the residents sang and danced in their honor.
One pirate, grinning widely, said, "This place is amazing, a paradise for pirates."
"If we didn't need to head to the Grand Line to find One Piece, I'd want to stay here forever!"
The burly man laughed and replied, "If you really want to stay, then go ahead."
Sensing a shift in the atmosphere, the pirate noticed the man's formerly friendly smile turn sinister.
"You!" the pirate exclaimed, but before he could react, he felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground.
Like the domino effect, the other pirates who had been eating and drinking also fell unconscious.
The burly man's expression turned contemptuous as he pulled a dark yellow bounty poster from his pocket and compared the picture with the pirate.
"A bounty of twelve million Berries for 'Mad Dog' Morey, and we got him so easily. Such poor vigilance!"
With that, the man expertly drew a long knife and severed Morey's head, placing it into a dark bag and handing it to a subordinate.
"Take this to the Marine base for the bounty!"
"Yes!" the subordinate replied eagerly, not minding the blood seeping from the bag.
He saw it not as a gruesome trophy but as a bounty worth millions of Berries.
The burly man looked at the fallen pirates with disdain, ordering, "Cut off their heads and toss their body into the sea to feed the fish!"
To him, pirates whose heads didn't bring a bounty were worthless.
At that moment, another subordinate rushed over and reported,
"Officer Hubert, three strangely dressed men have arrived on the shore and are heading this way."
Hubert frowned and asked, "Can you identify them?"
"They don't seem to have a ship. They might be survivors of a shipwreck," the subordinate replied.
"Never mind," Hubert said coldly. "Clean this place up. We can't let them see these pirates."
Under Hubert's orders, the 'residents' swiftly cleaned up the scene. In no time, the area looked as if nothing had happened.
After everything was set, Hubert smirked, saying, "Let's go welcome our new guests!"
To Hubert, it didn't matter who these three people were; what mattered was how much Beli could make off them.
Behind the crowd, a sweet-looking girl frowned as she watched Hubert and his men leave, muttering,
"I can't let those three innocent shipwreck survivors meet the same fate as the pirates!"
Igaram, with his peculiar curled hair, approached the girl and whispered,
"Princess Vivi, we shouldn't get involved. If Hubert discovers your true identity, Crocodile won't let you off."
"For the sake of the Alabasta Kingdom, we must endure and not reveal ourselves."
The girl was Princess Vivi, who had infiltrated Baroque Works under Crocodile's command to gather evidence of his plot against Alabasta.
She aimed to use this evidence to convince the rebels to stop shedding innocent blood.
Igaram, the captain of the Royal Guard, had secretly followed Vivi from the palace to protect her.
"There has to be a way to ensure our identities aren't exposed and to save those shipwrecked people from Hubert and his men," Vivi insisted.
Meanwhile, Hubert saw three individuals as easy prey: Byakuya and his companions, Lucci and Blueno, who had flown through the storm.
Byakuya looked relatively fine, albeit a bit fatigued, while Lucci and Blueno resembled drenched rats, their cloaks soaked and clinging uncomfortably to their bodies.
Despite the discomfort, neither of them was affected by illnesses like fever or colds.
This island was the first place Byakuya had found to rest after the storm, so he brought his companions ashore.
They only took a few steps toward the island's center when they encountered Hubert and his men.
Seeing them, Lucci's expression turned serious under his mask.
He whispered, "Byakuya-sama, these guys don't seem like good people. Should we take them out?"
Blueno, eager to prove his worth, was also ready for action. Although Byakuya didn't know the exact situation, he didn't care.
He chuckled, "Who do you think looks more like bad guys, them or us?"
"Don't act yet. I want to see what tricks they have up their sleeves," he added.
Lucci had to agree; compared to Byakuya, even the Four Emperors seemed more kind.
As Hubert approached, he noticed the three wearing matching outfits and different masks, making them appear mysterious and definitely not ordinary shipwreck survivors.
His experience told him these were prime targets.
Excitement flashed in Hubert's eyes as he addressed Byakuya and his companions, "You three must have been shipwrecked, right?"
"You seem to have had a tough time at sea. We're holding a bonfire party in our town with plenty of food. Why not join us and celebrate on your survival?"
Byakuya removed his mask, revealing a delicate face with the most innocent and naive smile. "Sure, I love parties!"
