Bab 37: Chapter 37. Confusion

Leonie was at a loss for words as she stared at the woman who had captivated her heart a year ago. Deep down, she had hoped that when Harper spoke of Rachel's kiss, her girlfriend would have recounted, firmly denying the advance. But the haunting truth that Harper had, in fact, reciprocated the kiss hung heavily in the air.

"Why?" was the only word Leonie could muster, her voice laced with a mix of hurt and disbelief.

Harper's reply cut like a knife. "It felt right."

If Leonie's heart had not already been so deeply entwined with Harper's, she might have been tempted to throw the woman out and end their relationship then and there. But the reality was, Leonie had fought hard to make Harper hers exclusively.
